The only thing I don't do as a digital only recorder is the heavy editing. We all have to do it or not... some overdubs or flub fixing, like the bass player fucked up a note or two, but I never take parts from different takes and put them together, even with the vocals.

Bunch of PA stuff on sale right now - would you recommend this one over the usual VCA suspects (The Glue, bx_townhouse, SSL G-comp, API 2500, etc)? Seems pretty versatile. Also, I've listened to quite a bit of the podcast over the years. It's cool seeing you here as well - subbed!

Good evening. Really enjoyed this episode. Very inspiring, a regular everyday working dude, and still makes music. Super positive. I am a Reaper user as well, what an amazing DAW. I think the feature that you were talking about for samples is call reasamplematic. I have a question and a comment about drum samples. Do you consult with your client before doing drum replacement? I would think that should be an upfront discussion. And if so what if the drummer does not want samples or sample replacment done on their drums. how is that handled. You 2 gentlemen are obviously way more advanced than me, however I really dislike drum sample replacement. My son is a drummer and we litterally record every week.He is absolutely 100% against them. Now he doesn't play extreme metal with crazy BPM's and I personally think then it is appropriate do to the sheer velocity of the players. But and again, I am not nor will I ever be on your level, so please forgive me if I am out of line, but I feel if you spend the time, you can get great preformances and not need to use samples. I absolutely loved the episode and again, I am sure I will be destroyed for my comments. But I guess to each his own on that subject. thank you.

It is very close, of course it is not the same mix, the new mix is a bit louder. educated guess about 1 db. so the comparison is difficult in the video. The new mix has a wider stereo field maybe due to a more prominent drum room. but hey, if we would always do the same it gets boring. great job.
