@@FishBola1991 It was found on accident by Skye in the main big catch discord, then Teddy really figured out how to replicate it, then the big catch speed running discord really solved it. Carrot explains the mechanics behind it in their 10 fish speedrun guide, but basically you jump off a lilypad and then waterhop like 2-3 times, then you stop pressing everything and it launches you. The game still thinks you're on the lilypad when you start hopping on the water, so every jump is influencing the lilypad to spin, and it spins *really* fast. Then when you run out of speed to run on water, the game puts you in the jump state for some reason, and the lilypad rotation is put on the player in just the form of speed, and you get launched.

in my eyes a more fair comparison would be to compare 3D Mario but mixed with the same momentum feel that 2D Sonic or Super Monkey Ball games have, but if you're talking of visuals, then it indeed looks like an PS2 era game

This is called a coyote. Basically when you super jump off a shredder, right after you start falling from that jump, you can spin and jump mid-air. A super is when you let go of a shredder and jump at the exact same time, it just gives you a higher jump and lets you coyote. I'm making a guide for all fish that'll hopefully come out soon and it will explain this trick in more detail. But in the mean time. if you still need help with it, I highly recommend joining the discord which is linked in the description of this video.

​@@Jaspev while I know the coyote jump from other games it just didn't seem plausibel to me that you used it considering the time between leaving the ground and jumping was quite substantial. Thanks for the explanation, can't wait for the full version of peak

@@alminhasanovic862 yea it's definitely a bug that's just taking advantage of the game's coyote system, at least that's how we think it works, so that's why we call it a coyote.
