Do not let all those fancy dials and hands fool you. All of them have to be adjusted manually. None are controlled by the movement except the actual time and the date. All in all looks good but a joke watch when all said and done as needs adjusting daily!

Yeah I’m aware, you can’t ask too much from a watch this affordable. I’m surprised they managed all this with an automatic movement at all. The year is adjusted with a pusher which you would only have to do once a year, then the day and month depending on how long it’s been since you’ve worn it. It’s not too difficult, I just adjusted it for new years and it took maybe less than 5 min.

I saw this on another vid and the year only goes up to 2028 something like that. So if your watch still work than you are SOL. Joke a side.. nice watch. Most important is what make hou happy.

I would say, save up like 1500 to 2000 and buy one good automatic watch, slightly used.

Great looking dial, handset, and bezel configuration. Nice case shape…love that side profile. I have this movement in another watch and it’s very accurate.

I just got the PT5000 version. The bracelet says 904L. I can’t find any info on whether that’s true, but considering the overall quality, I think it may be.

Everyone complains about the tachymeter not being fully functional and I can understand the complaint but honestly, who even uses it for it’s intended purpose? It’s like a dive watch with 200+ meter water resistance, who the hell actually dives that far.? It’s nice to have and flex but it never actually serves its purpose in most people’s hands. A watch should tell time first and last, anything else is just extra for extras sake.

I bought this watch and Bliger modded it for me and custom installed snowflake hands. So it looks like a fusion of the Blackbay and Submariner. For $100 CDN all day on AliExpress you can't go wrong. Great video man 👊🏽

Cortébert is a town in Switzerland where the company established itself in the late 1700. It was registered in the mid 1800 with a cross cotised as it’s logo. It was quite respected throughout its lifetime, even supplying their movements to brands like Rolex. They had an offshoot company named Perseo that made watches for the Italian market. Perseo too was and continue to be well respected. Cortébert was a victim of the quartz invasion and stopped production in the late 70’s. Perseo bought the Cortébert name. I’m not sure when the name was revived and by whom, but the cinquefoil logo leads me to believe that it is not Perseo. I’ll have to research that.

Dude that is very awesome. Thank you for that knowledge… sounds like the brand was a pretty heavy hitter back in the day. Cool to wear a little piece of history even tho now it may be a Chinese brand or watch company. Which is very possible… but the name is still on the watch and that’s gotta stand for something.

I wouldn’t get to hung up on watches without Safire Crystal I own watches I’ve had for 20+ years without scratching the mineral crystal. When I first got into watches I to wanted all leather straps but as my collection grew I appreciated how long metal bands lasts so my collection now is a mix of about 50/50. That was a nice first mechanical watch. Great video thank you for sharing.

I bought the black dial version and am hugely impressed. I do regret not buying the textured meteorite dial but hey, at this price I'm going to buy one anyway and have two of these, and I'll still be spending half of what one new Seiko 5 sports would cost. 😎 I disagree in regard to the clasp. I think it's unnecessarily over engineered and tricky to adjust. I'd rather they fitted a cheap pressed metal item and used the savings on decent lume,

Black dial is very nice, I’ve considered picking up a rose gold one on a black band. But you’re right, for the price you can pick up two of these and have better specs at a lower price so makes sense! Yeah lume is poor, but I pretty much always have my clasp extended, I can add a link and close it but the current set up fits so nice. Sometimes when it’s cold I can close it and get a good fit but I personally like the on the fly adjustability.
