this is a dope video bro, I’ve fished there a couple times, got my first stripper, sick to see this tank on a lipless crankbait

I enjoyed the video. I still learned something, technique and spots. I remember trolling all day for tuna, the boat never stopping until dock. My Dad used to say, "that fishing, I guess if I caught a fish every time the line got wet, it wouldn't be fun." I'd like to see videos when you do well. I still have yet to catch freshwater bass. My daughter beat me to it, guess where? Yep, a med dive lure on the shallow side. Thank you for sharing.

damn bro, congratulations on that 8lb. silverwood is my home lake and i know how tough it can be at times, looks like you had yourself one of those epic days and im glad you enjoyed yourself. but now i gotta shit on you a little bit and here is why: your handling of that monster bass was disgusting bud. the amount of time you kept it out of the water just on video, not even counting what you edited out was horrifying. you might have dunked in the water a few times, it just wasnt on video, and feel like that was ok, but thats not enough bro. we gotta do a better job of how we care for these fish to make sure they survive so they can provide the next generation for us. these animals are susceptible to all the same health risks that you and i would face under the same conditions. if i made you sprint a 100 meter dash like your life depended on it, and then deprived you of oxygen for several minutes right after that til the point where you passed out, you would require immediate medical attention after that or you could die. most people know about the risk of brain damage when deprived of air, thats why drown victims often end up in vegetative states if they survive. once a fish goes into shock, where you have to try to "revive" them so they can slowly swim off, they have about a 28% chance of surviving and usually die within 5 days from asphixiation. this is not something i just made up, this is from marine biologists who have done studies on the effect on how bass are affected when they are caught in tournaments, and it has helped reshape the industry in the way they handle bass at these large tournaments to ensure minimal impact on the fishery. i get it... it was a nice moment for you. enjoy it, take your picture, get that bass back in the water as soon as possible. so just please, be a little more mindful. if you couldnt hold your breath for that long, a much smaller animal definitely wouldn't. happy fishing.

It’s called the shimano calcutta conquest 200 DC the DC is a digital chip, it tells the spool to slow down when it spins to fast it pretty much does all the breaking for you with little adjustment with magnet brakes and spool tension but still gotta have your thumb on it to make sure you don’t get a back lash

Sorry you all but when I go fishing I fish to bring food to the house I don't fish for the sport, so I like using ship anchors as the hook and heavy duty chains as my line, my boat is my rod, so either you sink my boat or my cach is going to be a meal, but I'm not going home empty handed.

Crazy to see how much the industry has sold the weekend warrior fishtuber crowd while fisheries collapse all around us with nothing being done about it due to general naivete. A bit of advice your gear is WAY to clean my guy! to me it doesn't look like you are fishing anywhere where bass like to be regardless of the season. Start doing things that others are NOT doing instead of copycatting all the other citiots with your glitter coated rods and 50 dollar rattlebaits. You don't need livescope either ffs, just buy yourself a simple handheld depth finder and learn the spots you like to fish on your own.

I was out there yesterday for a quick morning sesh and caught around 20 males that had just moved up shallow. I would focus on the eastern (shallower) side of the lake because that's where the warmer water was. I spent a little time in big rock bay, but the water was too cold over there for them to be up shallow just yet. There were plenty of bass on beds, but my dumbass couldn't stop the boat in time lol. Good luck out there!

Keep trying man there out there ! I notice a lot of bigger bass coming on beds to pre spawn had the best success in the back area to the left where 11-12 is by all the shrubs in the back it seems like they are there in the mornings til lunch then the afternoon bite isn’t that good for me. and it starts picking back around 3pm.
