Without intending offense, whats wild to me is absolutely no one irl, at least in my country, knows of that stuff. I swear I only hear about it in US video essays. People at my work either have a different style each day based around some cloth pieces, or a style that they kept for a while. Teens girls at the bus stop are all dressed in baggy pants and skinny crop tops, and they have been dressed that way for a few years. I do not know a single person I would call "clean girl" or "mob wife". And I doubt the US streets are suddenly being invaded by mob wives. Gutting your wardrobe to match theses "trends", which to me only exist online, sounds like peak "touch grass" to me, without looking like terminally online stuff. :/.

this was super interesting! I love the knit tops with graphics on them. duplicate stich is super easy to lear so I recomend it for when you make yours! also where did you find the jumper with a racecar on it? (seen at 6.31) I've been looking for it for ages 😭

Smart young lady. I agree, be what you are, enjoy the freedom to be you. It’s true that sometimes it is “us” not “them” that put us in the box.

I have the same concerns as you so when I see these clothes out and about I look at the stitches because most of them are knit made to look like crochet. I have the shirt Devi is wearing and it’s definitely knit. That’s not saying that there are no fast fashion crochet pieces but at least there’s less than it looks like there is.

I’ve been seeing a big recent trend in the green top in the thumbnail …. I think after I finish the skirt I’m doing I’ll do one of those tops next !

Omg I hate to be one of those people but your thumbnail looked so good I definitely though you had more subscribers haha But what a nice video! I have never been interested in clothing trends but I suppose I'm curious enough to see what other people think is neat or cool. I also laughed a little when you said everyone wears shorts, making them timeless- I don't disagree, pretty much with anything stated here, but man if someone catches me wearing shorts outside the house, that is not me... Also question! If you don't mind sharing, where are you from? It's a bit hard to notice, but it doesn't sound like any of the US accents I'm used to. (Your speaking is very nice :> ) Edit: Oops! Forgot to say that I'm going to be making my first mesh sweater! I really really don't like showing my skin, and have opted to wear large sweaters in summer, but I think a mesh one is a good uh... substitute! (Green heart bcus YT won't let me add emojis TTT)

so many people online talk about how they don't often wear stuff they made. With crochet it's easy to just start a project bc it's trendy and fun to make, without thinking about wether you're gonna wear it. It's a form of over consumption that's often over looked bc crochet and crafting is generally considered sustainable (at least more so than fast fashion). Personally i really like crochet scrunchies, they look cute and are a nice way to use up scraps and any leftover yarn

I love this video and I agree with pretty much all of this! As someone who's into vintage fashion I can definitely say that mesh is timeless - it was in in the 60s and the 80s and the 90s and 00s... so on haha! It's all in how you style it honestly!

My opinion for the sleeves is that like, if they’re not too thick, there point is probably to offer a little bit of warmth actually, it’s for those days when theoretically its summer but its been raining all day the last couple of days but finally the sun is shining again and yes its a bit chilly there is a bit of wind but theres also sun, so you put on that one dress/tank top youve been wanting to wear for ever by now, but its a bit too cold, because of the wind gusts so you put the sleeves on on top, so its offers a bit of extra warmth which is nice and it doesn’t like completely goes against the whole like point of the outfit, yk the shirt or dress, but thats just my opinion, cuz the weather here in my country is much more like that so maybe it just makes more sense to me, and also they could be useful when it gets later in the day, like at evening or night when like the sun has gone down and suddenly its much cooler than it was before, but u definitely had some good points on them and i just think ur lying cuz i cannot see how it would look bad on you, i don’t know you but girl, what i see is gorgeous and i cannot see how anything would look bad on you, but yea thats me <3
