I find it interesting that you classify homes getting more expensive is the market heading in the "right direction". Affordability in Canada is at its all time historical low, unemployment is high and only getting higher. Not sure if this is the "right direction" we need, holistically.

We need to invest in producing natural resources again... it really is that simple... we import 400K barrels of oil every year but export 1.5M, why import at all? We should be able to refine it here... that along with lumber, paper, minerals, fresh water, natural gas....What makes it worse is bloated government, inefficient and wasteful health care system... and I am all for immigration, but we need to pump the brakes, we don't have the infrastructure and services for this kind of population growth... Canada needs a lot of help, I fear for my children. Their future is on the rocks right now..
