So when doing the NPPL, instead of the PPL, you use this method instead of using one of those rotary flight computers?

It’s the preferred method but you can also use a wiz wheel

Hi Chris it should work, I will give it a try on an I pad and confirm, however just to check you were in “go flying” mode and swiped on the terrain radar?

So it works on my iPad mini, but trying at home there are a few gotcha’s Firstly you need to use simulate not use go flying else as you are on the ground it doesn’t work! (I will raise that with SD) and lastly you need to be en route because it doesn’t work if the make approach option is shown! Needless to say it will work on a real flight once airborne and not making an approach which seems a little limiting but that said I have only just found the limitations so maybe not!

Hi, I´ve got eu version in my stratux (currently version eu023) and when i open the web interface, there is setting for 868 OGN on/off, instead for FLARM. Is it the same?

Yes it uses OGN code to do the receiving

Hello Adrian, I have a 'normal' stratux, do you think it's possible to configure it to a european version? At this moment I can't receive mode c/s signals. Do you have suggestions? Kind Regards, Renz

Yes it is, you need to format and reload the sd card. To get mode S and C follow the video on setting it with SkyDemon... If you want to talk it through pm me and we can arrange that happy to help...

@@Renz123546515 you need to also change the IP address to 192.168.1.1 and then connect to the Stratux EU using Flarm air connect from SkyDemon or such like.

Hi Niel, not exactly, I’m an instructor and we have been given the green light to fly to maintain / regain or currency ahead of any full reopening, I assume... prior to this flight my last one was 20 Dec.

I have not flown since the 5th of November...driving me mad - and mindful of the possible loss of some skills. Obviously, your flight is for engine health and maintenance reasons??!! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you...very useful. I could of course read up on SkyDemon, especially as we can't fly at the moment...It's so much easier watching vids from good people like you who take the time to help lazy gits like me. I have shut down the C42 many times as in your 'Shut Down' vid...but it's still good to see it on video. Tips like your recent uploads are excellent...keep em coming. Cheers
