They were all so dialed in for the 4th album it's crazy. This song is their Day in the Life

I like the vocals much more in this version. And I am glad that the base is louder. So much better than the original overall.

Nailed it! Moon's hands were lightning fast, but he played with manic expression. You don't get that with machine-like precision alone. Way to hit the skins!

Hauntingly beautiful yet blisteringly powerful harmonica playing by Plant… Rip-roaring, eardrum splitting guitar perfection by Page..... Hypnotic banshee-like rhyming & rhythmic singing and wailing by Percy sung with glee and abandon.... Thunderous drums beaten with the Hammer of the Gods, coupled with those insanely inhuman drum rolls by Bonham..... With Jonsey keeping an even keel in the wild musical maelstorm..achoring it all into a cohesive musical tapestry... All resulting in the best groove ever laid down in music history. I was never convinced that Led Zeppelin made a deal at the crossroads for their musical talent until I heard this Alternate Take of Levee. Simply the most badass rock track ever recorded.

Also if ya dig and enjoyed this video 😀 you may also enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. Also I remember hearing this song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? And if yes why ? To find out more please read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on KZbin. 😀

@@elliestevens9204 I think I had Coated Emperors over clear Ambassadors on this kit, with a clear Powerstroke 3 batter on the bass drum
Been steady using the sound of that drum to pound fence posts into the earth and shatter my kidney stones to dust

The 2 Cleveland 1977 shows are in my top 10 favorite Zepp shows! The 4/27 show was my favorite for awhile, until I got the Cleveland 28th show. I sincerely hope that show comes out one fine day on a Soundboard! You can't go wrong with either show, but listen to the 28th. Probably the best Brother/Sister shows Zepp ever did.

More variety in this stomping version. Bonham keeps brilliantly changing tempo and dragging those cymbals. The double vocals at the end are fabulous ❤❤❤
