Yah The dude was on ultra strict diet barely surviving, probably something adjacent to eating disorder. Then he finally gave his body calories and ofc it feels good

Peter definitely pets the sweaty stuff. I used to ultra run, and many times at an aid station deep in a run I'd drink half a dixie cup of Mountain Dew or Coke. For the next couple of miles I'd feel pretty good before dropping back into the ultra zone. I had this idea about just jogging along with a 2 liter bottle of ice cold soda in my running pack instead of all the elaborate (and expensive) energy junk we used. I never tried that, kind of regret it.

What a sick line! Got on it this summer but didn't have the endurance for it! Best climb in Ontario that I've been on!

I was on Intersection Rock in JT when Peter came soloing up North Overhang. It was my first day climbing and soloing didn’t compute. I Asked, “isn’t that scary?” Peter Croft told me, “If you’re scared, that’s a good way to get killed” I had no idea that I was talking to a legend.

Haha nice, seems like a solid dose of sugar worked wonders. (Can’t go wrong with high carbs, including lots of sugar, if you’re super active)

I really feel this. Was on a really strict diet through lent this year, and right before easter I went on a date and got ice cream. I ate both mine and finished my dates. The next day I went climbing expecting to feel heavy and and weak and instead had one of the best days of my life. Ice cream gains.

Now pushing sixty, I am no longer capable of trad climbing anything harder than 5.9ish - however, I have really been working on developing a safe solo aid climbing system over the past few summers. I am now at a point where I am aid soloing trad routes in the C1-Low C2 range with a high degree of confidence - This route looks like an excellent Aid project plus I love the location and have always loved climbing quartzite/granite from my years spent climbing at the back of Lake Louise in the 80s - Also, McCrae Lake is not too far from Toronto, has solid rock and looks quite isolated and serene - I will definitely spend a few days up there this August! Thanks for the video and the tip! - great video!! - definitely looks like a wonderful location to spend a few days enjoying nature and the rock!
