The building with the bow shaped roof at the corner of Tennessee St. and Broadway was a Purity grocery store, also on the north west corner of that same intersection was a Smiling Sam's Rexall drug store. Back up Tennessee St. the building that was the EL Rey theater is still there. I was born in Vallejo 1951, and have not been through since 1983, but some things are still recognizable. Named after Commander David Glasgow Farragut, my elementary school is still in use, though not a school now. Started kindergarten it's first opening, 1958.

It looks like a ghost town stuck in the 90s.

You missed the most important parts of Crescent City - the view of Castle Rock on North Pebble Beach Drive, for example.

Home sweet home

Very high crime. Area is beautiful and worth seeing. Not much good to say about the day to day people there. Great place to visit but don’t take safety for granted. Seems population has really dropped over the years. Courts were pretty lax in the 90’s. A lot of drug activity in Redwoods surrounding small town. Some pretty crazy people there. Just over the border from Brookings, Or. close to Smith River and Pelican Bay prison.

I am still loosely in touch, via Instagram, with a pretty gal, in her 30s, who moved from Everett, Washington to a home she rents from her folks (Mexican Americans) who have a 10 acre orange grove in Red Bluff. She was a barista in Everett...she got very tired of the cloudy, not hot enough NW weather!...She seems happy enough to live in a more quiet, more warm environment. I would be bored to death in most ANY small town, and actually prefer a somewhat cooler climate. I hope she stays safe, as I have read that Red Bluff has a high crime rate!

I like San Francisco. San Francisco is an interesting city with lots of places to see, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, the Palace of Fine Arts, Pier 39, and Fisherman's Wharf.

Misleading title. Several places aren't in Carmichael. On screen it says Fair Oak Blvd. Actually Fair Oaks Blvd. For quite awhile it's on Manzanita, but it still showed Fair Oak blvd. Had the car actually stayed on Fair Oaks Blvd where it turns east, there's a lot of Carmichael to view there. Nice try. Could have been better.
