Never look up initially as your body will follow, keep your body looking down as your body, or you'll fall on your butt after a few feet in the flat part

Thank you so much Shaun for these very clear and inspiring tutorials! I have a question about how tight my skates have to be because I see that you have quite some freedom of movement in your ankle forward/backward. My plastic skate boot does have a sort of pivot at the ankle but I am so tight in there (for safety reasons) that it almost hurts from compression when I try to duplicate the moves.

I'm learning this now, no blades yet. I'm 68yrs young. Lol!

these are hard babies in inline figure skating too, specially bc our short 3 wheels frames don't give you much slack at the back so you gotta be extra precise on the exit so backwards 3 turns always scare the bejesus out of me both in the lion form as in the classic 3 turn fashion

I was so depressed lately. Than I decided to learn in line skating at 64. I'm a bad skater, just forward and backward no transitions, no scissors but I will get there. Once Im wearing the skates and moving I smile all the time. I feel like a child again. I feel free and happy.
