Is the support leg supposed to be your dominant leg or your not dominant leg? I’m a lefty. Should I support with my right leg?

Do you have any tips for skating with a torn hip labrum? When I try to use my right leg as the rudder (behind the left, putting weight on it), it feels uncomfortable whereas I can do it perfectlu the other way around.

Thank you so much for this!! I noticed your frames are quite long. What are your thoughts and advice please on very short frames for slalom, esp for those who have small feet and are short? Any cons to 210 long frames for example please?

Hey there! 🎥 First of all, thanks for the great video! 👍 I really enjoyed it. However, I've noticed that when I try to do the magic slide, it automatically becomes a power slide. 😕 Can you please help me out and let me know what the problem might be

I've skated on and off since I was in middle school and I'm 32 now, just getting back into it, and for the first time I'm taking it seriously and trying to get good. When I do lemon drops going backwards feels easy and good, but when I try to just go backwards and keep going, I can't keep speed, I keep coming to a stop, and I have a really hard time staying balanced so it scares me. Do I just not have the muscles yet? I'm wondering if that's mainly my biggest problem with all skills. I don't work out. I live a fairly active lifestyle but I do go long stretches of not being very active since I live where winters are long and rough. I'm getting into climbing, I hike, and kayak, too, and bike as well. I'm hoping to get in decent shape! But I always lose motivation during winter. Hopefully if I keep at it and practice, with the help of your videos and others I've been watching, I'll finally reach some goals I've always wanted to be able to do! Great video, I can't wait to practice this!

I started skating two months ago with the goal to commute to work someday and I love your videos. It's a blast seeming the techniques you lay out in tutorials in this natural skate video. Also, Shaun's speed control downhill, so elegant!

Shaun, you seem to be one of the few skating authorities who actually knows how to use a heel brake. Thank you for standing against the nonsense from the other "pros".

Its so unfair people dont understand how much rocker makes skating easier. you do with 1 feet with easy. with flat frame this is impossible without breaking your ankles or knees

what wheels do you have? i’m using rink rat 79A wheels and i feel like they might have too much grip for something like this, could that be possible?
@pinkyandthebrain9921 күн бұрын
This is why it’s so hard to blade around for me - it’s so hard to stop at high speeds - it’s forcing me to be complacent and stay strictly with flat surfaces.

Is it actually worth the time and money to clean your own bearings? I mean, I guess if you have $200 bearings then sure, but this is so much time when a 10-pack of decent bearings are like $20.
