They headlined the final day of Sonic temple the 27th and I gotta tell ya, they blew my mind. The venue was having audio issues all weekend, and yeah they have a few snags, but Dave sounded fantastic for the most part and after a little tweaking I couldn't have asked for a better performance. I'd go again in a heart beat

Josh is such a great drummer. I hope he enjoys this. I must admit that selfishly, I wish he was playing in APC or a band with a bit more creative flexibility (his drumming on the first 2 APC records is incredible), but the Foos are awesome too!

The vocals are very disappointing... I think he's lost his voice. Otherwise, it seems like a good performance... Meadowbrook in Gilford, New Hampshire is a great venue!

The people hating here don’t realize Dave is a drummer himself? And clearly if something was wrong and determinal he would have it fixed before they go on tour? Freeze will never be Taylor. But the dude is killing it. Just happy to see The Foo go on at this point ❤

I think he might have been laughing at Pat - maybe a follow on from him getting a sore arm with all the downstrokes in the recent live stream.

No, Dave laughed because of two 16th notes on the kick drum while Josh was playing a drumfill. Taylor never played that way.

I expect many will not like this comment, but personally I don't like this new drummer. No doubt he is a good drummer, but he drums too fast and it ruins the songs. In some cases the band can't keep up with him and they sound out of synch, also Grohl appears to be having a hard time with some of the lyrics as he is needing to speed up the singing to fit the faster pace set by the drummer and overall it does damage to the song, and will harm the band in the long run.

it's the first day of tour, what do you want Dave to do? Also, Josh Freese is THE guy to get when you need a drummer. Maybe by the end of the tour, Josh's drums will sound better to you, we'll see

@@design1of470 I have been listening to all the other you tube videos - the veep ones or whatever they called and they performed several songs and the issue was the same on all. Too fast and rushed, Grohl was singing so fast on some you couldn't even make out what he was singing despite knowing the words - at one point they even had to stop a minute to let Pat have a break - so my comment is based on more than just this one video. The dude is a brilliant drummer as I said but he is ruining the old catalogue of songs, maybe any new material the faster drumming will work better as he will be party to writing the drums for those songs, but on these songs I am not impressed.

Freese hasn't been playing with Foo longer than a few months. Give him some time to settle in. It takes them a little while to vibe perfectly and get it all perfect. He's doing a great job right now, all things considered. Man is a legendary drummer. You can't say he's ruining stuff when this is the very first show. See where they are in 50-100 shows from now. Taylor and Dave literally breathed the same wavelength.... Taylor with his eyes closed could know what Dave was doing on stage and nail it - that's the connection they had. Freese is the right guy and will grow with them.
