This was Drive-In second feature to Jesse James Meets Frankenstein’s Daughter I thought they were great. It’s a different experience when you are a kid and don’t already know the Actors who essentially “play themself.” Dracula was Dracula.

Randy (Yes! I know it's Randolph) Scott was never paid more than 80,000 per motion picture but invested in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania oil field leases and when he passed on he was worth over 80 million.. In today's money that would be hundreds of millions! Super smart guy and great actor!

A beautifully crafted Western with some of the best long-shots I've ever seen in this genre. I love the rhythm and pace of the editing; it's one superb frame after another. A great opening scene establishes the plot and we are slowly introduced to some marvellous characters. The music, particularly in the early scenes, creates wonderful atmosphere. The cast is very strong and it's a great movie debut for James Coburn. Karen Steele really stands out too and is a little more than the token female 'object' of male desire. I could've done without the melodramatic final scene but it doesn't spoil one of the finest Westerns ever made. Thankyou for sharing it with us.

One of my favourite films. I’ve also read the book it is based on. But there is also another book where the author believes that John Wallace was set up and Potts was not as good a man as portrayed here. I guess we will never know. But a street was named after Wallace in Merriwether. Both actors played brilliantly in this film. But Andy Griffith looks nothing like the real John Wallace. He’s a very good villain though. 👍😃

Was expecting something more heart-warming from Sam Elliott. "Johnny's" behaviour spoiled the film for me - except for the last minute or so. Watching this prick act like a goon for an hour and a half was disappointing. Why "Molly" stayed with him was puzzling too.
