Hola! Desde Argentina!! Cuanto sale la excursión al Caminito del Rey? Muchas gracias
@krystof908Ай бұрын
Hola!

Hello Chris and Carmen. Very nice video! I have been researching into Castellamare del Golfo for a 3 month stay in the spring of 2023. It looks like you stayed at a hotel very close to a property that I am thinking of renting called Liberty House. I am curious to hear your thoughts on the area and any tips that you may offer. I am looking for a spot in Sicily for a long term stay for rest and some recuperation after a spinal cord injury. I don't walk so well right now, so I am looking for somewhere right along the sea but still quite close to groceries, restaurants, etc. Any advice would be sincerely appreciated. Grazie, Paul

Hello Paul, this place is wonderful and we loved the little hotel we stayed in as well as seating in the balcony. The issue for you might be the steps going up to the town center where all the commerce is. This part of Castellammare is very nice too but if you’d like to get to the sea, you’d have to go down some steps. Look into Trapani city. Much easier to maneuver by foot and surrounded by the sea. Also, you’d have easy access to the ferries which can take you to the three little islands (Favignana, Marettimo and Levanzo). We didn’t get to go to Marettimo. I highly recommend this for you under the circumstances you describe. It is a different vibe from Castellammare though. As an alternative, try Favignana. I hope this helps.. happy holidays and hope you will be better soon. Please feel free to reach out if you have other questions.

@@paulfreitag7772 honestly, if it wasn’t for the steps and your limited mobility, I would say Castellammare is a perfect place for recovery. This was our favorite place in Sicily and we absolutely loved Sicily. Carmen

@@krystof908 I am able to do some steps, I just need to go slowly and need to stop to rest frequently. I think that I could do it. Piano piano as they say in Italy(slowly slowly). I am looking at renting an apartment that is right in front of the marina. My hope is to either buy or rent a small boat and be able to swim and snorkel daily. Being in the water and buoyant reduces a lot of the pressure on my spinal cord and will be good exercise/therapy for me. I have had other people also recommend Castellammare so I think I will continue to focus my efforts there. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me and I enjoy the chat! Grazie mille, Paul
