I've been a metalhead since the age of 12, but I sincerely can't stand the metal community. There are so many poseurs and pretentious morons, and then a group of snobs who keep mocking every other genre of music. I stopped going to Metal concerts and festivals after the Opeth concert at IIT Madras back in 2009. It was so bad, that it was one of the reasons why I stopped playing with my band as well. I hated the community so much after that for numerous reasons..

By stopping, you let them win. Metal is yours to live, feel, and create, it doesn’t need validation from anyone. You don’t need their opinions to embrace the music that resonates with you, metal’s power is in its freedom, not in anyone’s narrow view of it.

Soon these heavy metals will be forced to sing in kannada and urdoo <I may have gotten it wrong the spelling>, my visit to India Bangalore is simply horrible. traffic stands still. Too many people in metro, don't mistake me but india has intelligent people in usa but why are such crap facilities being built. My friend blames reservation. Indians know it better. But Bangalore has an expiry date.

We need big sponsors to take risk on heavy metal. Its only coz of Salman and Saurav's love for metal that they fight tooth and nails to get these bands to BOA, regardless if they can make some money or not. And more often than not they don't break even. With travelling cost sky rocketting Salman said they wouldn't be able to afford big bands anymore. We need some corporates to step up.
@khasiPoliticsАй бұрын
But in Shillong the capital of music we got only outdated band😅.
@MB-vb5ebАй бұрын
That's cos no promoter can afford and make money out of the big heavy metal bands. Big sponsors wants bands like Coldplay, One Direction, or k pop boys to sell tickets. They wouldn't take risks on heavy metal. Thats the sad reality.
