My Gemini jr just jammed with the plates half way through. Does it need to be taken apart completely as in the video? Was it difficult to do? Thanks

Thank you so much for making this video. I was able to unjam my machine. GOD bless you!

For toyota yaris 2012 I needed 14mm wrench
@spicey245 Жыл бұрын
My machine is doing the same thing, will only take very small dies, one at a time, any more than that it just won't 'grab' the plates and makes a grinding sound so I fear I have the same issue. 😢 Would you be able to make a new gear from your 3D printer for me please? I will obviously pay you for your time and materials. If you could drop me a message about this I would be ever so grateful. I live in the Isle of Man. Thanks in advance! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼😊

Looks like all the other gears are metal. WHY would Sizzix use a nylon gear in such a crucial area and not a metal gear? Planned obsolescence?
@lov2scraplaura2 жыл бұрын
Ditto! Would pay for that gear! My Sizzix is a large expensive paper weight!

Any chance you would sell some of those 3D printed replacement gears for anyone else with this same issue but no 3D printer?

I don't know if you are still able to help with ebosser problems.I bought one recently at a charity shop and it worked beautifully 2 or 3 times. Now the motor keeps stopping, and of course the plates are then jammed. We have been able to unscrew as per your video and re-assemble, it will work once or twice and then jam again. This is getting so frustrating. Also a small cube of a white silicone type fell out (we think) and don't know where it belongs. I hope you can help as am getting desperate

Brilliant. I jammed up my embosser last week. Thinking will it be cheaper to buy a new cutter or send away to get repaired. Found your video on KZbin, watched 2 or 3 times,found my screwdrivers and a torch, hey presto within15 mins my machine was working, a quick clean up and job done. THANKYOU

Thank you for the video, it worked up until a point however upon detaching the motor nothing budged and everything was seriously jammed so as a result (and as expected) it was beyond saving so it's off to buy a new (probably different model) for me.

Thank you for this video. I have a Gemini and watched your video before starting on mine. Took pictures at different stages in case I forgot how it was BEFORE I detached items....the plates pulled out easily and it was almost as easy to put back together...I am not all that mechanical, Ha Ha. Thanks again!

You guys forgot to do the most important thing which is let everybody know to put the E-brake on before you do everything
@renerc81983 жыл бұрын
This is the rear of the car. The E brake would not do anything since it only engages the rear brakes.

I think the axle stand was in the wrong position initially but he did put it in the correct position if you watch very carefully. Obviously the car has to be jacked around the jacking area so there is room for axle stand.

I want to thank you so much for this video. I just jammed my ebosser as I put the rubber mat on top and not in between the plates - I know very dumb move on my part. Your video helped walk me through taking it apart to get all the plates and rubber mat out. I have had this one since they first came out with it and only used it a couple times. I got it back out to do die cuts that my Cuttlebug wouldn't cut all the way. Very happy it still works after I put it back together.

That's exactly what happened to me and I've pulled as much of the rubber mat out as possible. I was going to take a mallet to it

This is a great video. I changed my coil springs on both sides thanks to this! Only thing is the socket head needed is a 17mm and NOT an 18mm. I ended up rounding off the bolt to the shock absorber because of this which caused a lot of heartache. Other then that excellent video

I have been given a brand new Cut n boss as an early Christmas present as I am about to have major surgery which means I cannot use my manual machine for months. I know they are not available to purchase anymore and Crafters Companion will not help with the problem I have found: the top roller is not rolling at all. I have tried it with power switched off and it is solid, the bottom roller rolls smoothly. If I dismantle it as you have done how do I unjam the top roller?. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to craft to recuperate!!.

Wow! This is amazing. I spent a few months in Ayr back in Feb - Apr 2008 and parts of it still looked the same as 1969. I'm American (with Scottish Ancestors) and it was like another world there. I absolutely loved seeing the sites and being exposed to the history and culture. It was fantastic! Thanks for sharing this.

That's so dangerous!! Do copper grease those threads on the wheels and surface of drum and WD40 entire engine and bay (Paintwork and wires) it's ease the rust .My 2002 has no rust at all in engine but of course the springs are just like this,sure mine need doing next year.

@times2008 жыл бұрын
G Jones, sorry you are not having much luck, can I suggest you watch the video again and do things in the reverse order of taking it apart, your cogs should be on the left hand side of the case and not the right , as I said when its in line the front case will slide straight on, cannot recommend a shop. Let me know if you succeed.

are the back and front the same ??? springs ??
@treefiddy7278 жыл бұрын
No. The front uses struts. KYB makes a spring/strut easy install combo
@astampersaffair55378 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. Yes, there are a ton of screws but was very easy once I had everything apart. My plates were all the way thru and jammed at the end but removing the motor allowed me to hand turn the right hand wheels. If you do it to the one on the left, it will not turn. If you work with the two on the right, It will hand crank. Thank you again!

Hi thank you, my Wife had jammed the E Bosser solid tried always even using a mallet and a block of wood over several days with no joy, after searching for some answers and found your video I thought well I will give it try and hey presto problem solved. (WITHOUT PROBLEMS)

did you do somthink to get it back in i cant get the right side in can you help
@times2008 жыл бұрын
G JONES Hello sorry just seen your question, as far as I know when I assembled it back together I found I had the motor cogs facing the wrong way, so I lined everything up making sure that when I put the front casing on first everything went in smoothly, their are grooves in the case each side that everything sits in , it will not seat properly till you have done this , then you should be able to assemble the back on , it's not easy it took some time and patients, hope this helps, let me know.

easier if you compress the spring with compressors while it's on the ground. I find that the old ones then fall out
