I just did two towers last night in my gladiator. I’d like to do it during the day time one of these days! It was an interesting trail. Night time is a whole different monster some of the turns were tight and I was wondering if my gladiator had too much wheel base lol

@@RDOverland thanks for the reply. Spent time in western NC doing disaster response in my Gladiator and could have really used a winch. Had to redneck engineer a lot using a tow strap/rope, shock shackles, and bow shackles. Winch would have made it easier. Thanks.

Tip with the diesel heater - Pull all that extra hose inside the tent. Even the insulated hoses lose a lot of heat to the air. Bringing the excess inside will allow you to capture that heat. Also allows you to put the outlet down by your feat. You can feed it along the inside wall of the tent so it's radiating heat the entire length of the hose in there.

@RDOverland20 күн бұрын
@@RamblinGrizzly I did a few off-road trips that were part of the NEBDR or really close to it. I would love to do the whole thing only if I could find enough time. 😊 Im sure up north the routes get more scenic. It’s a long drive but hopefully this summer I can do different parts.
@RamblinGrizzly20 күн бұрын
@RDOverland it is a pretty long trail, 1300 miles or so, I think. Traveling by myself in my stock pickup meant having to find alternate routes in some places, even in the short distance I traveled it. Wish I had had my Jeep, but the 500 + miles I have to drive to get to the trailhead would take me forever at the speed my old Jeep travels 😀
@RDOverland20 күн бұрын
@ 1300 miles is a hike. I wouldn’t mind driving all those miles in few days but driving back would take me about 11-12 hours 😝 I am planing a trip in the summer to North Maine Woods, I can take some BDR routes to get there.
