The dynamic pressure created by the pump is lower than 14.7psi. That's why it can not escape. And since air flowing around the ball and entering stationary air , there should be entrainment casuing the flow to wrap around the ball, i.e., Coanda.

I just cut the sheet into strips, and then cut one end of each strip into a point. It's pretty straightforward, and it's just a basic polarizer sheet.

My guess is if one shows this to someone who believes the Earth is flat and disbelieves in gravity, they'll probably find some way to explain it away.

I tried but from a distance, the screen looks blurry. It only works when the new polarizer is directly in front of the screen. Has anyone had the same problem and figured out how to solve this?

According to David Cahill of Oregon Institute of Technology "The way heat is carried in polymer is related to the diffusion of vibrational modes. In ordered crystals, these vibrational modes travel much further than what is observed in disordered liquids. As a result, an extreme change in molecular ordering of the polymer can significantly alter the thermal conductivity,". I do not know much about liquid crystals but seems to me that if you could align the crystals via electricity in a significantly thick layer you might have a noticeable effect on thermal conductivity, hopefully making it relatively thermally conductive or not through a given path.

Could you possibly add or subtract ions at the boundary layer of a solid to dramatically increase or decrease the phase transition temperature to a liquid? Going from lower entropy state to higher entropy state would absorb thermal energy and could be used for cooling.

⚠️ God has said in the Quran: 🔴 { Would any of you wish to have a garden with palm trees, grapevines, and all kinds of fruits with rivers flowing underneath and as they grow very old with dependent children, a fiery whirlwind hits the garden, burning it all up? 🔴 What Is Islam? 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him. This is awesome! Did you use soap in the water to get more bubbles? Also if that's a propane blowtorch, how is the flame not being set off in the water and lighting it then? Is it just because the nozzle is underwater? Or can you deactivate the lighting feature and just release the gas

Trust the process sir. Just keep the heat on it constantly, don't flatten out the curled edges, it will flatten out itself once it has shrunk down completely. Also if you want it to stay clear turn down the heat. X

There is no buoyancy during free fall because gravity is cancelled out.
@stainlesssteelfox1
@stainlesssteelfox1 Жыл бұрын
The objects are lighter or denser than water. So the ping pong ball and rubber duck float (the lighter duck floats up and the denser water flows down underneath it), and the nut sinks (the denser nut sinks and the lighter water flows up over it) because of the force of gravity affecting them and the water. This force is opposed by the springs. When in free fall, there's no effective force from gravity vanishes and the force of the springs becomes the only one on the objects, so the duck/ping pong ball are dragged down and the nut is pulled up.

@@stainlesssteelfox1 how does gravity turn off and on?
@stainlesssteelfox1
@stainlesssteelfox1 Жыл бұрын
@@imkuntox It doesn't. In freefall, the water, the rubber duck and the nut are all falling and accelerating at the same rate due to gravity, so there are no relative forces exerted due to the differences in density.

the number of polarizing filters should be six not eiight, shouldn't it?
@physicsjonestube
@physicsjonestube 2 жыл бұрын
We tried to match the structure of the honeybee visual system, and the references I consulted showed 8 visual cells around a central axis. So I think that 8 filters was a good choice-but I am far from an expert on this! Nonetheless, the principle that different cells with response that depends on polarization allows a determination of sun position comes through!

@@physicsjonestubeI thought there are 6 visual cells in honeybee's single ommatidium, as shown in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqHXYYuElKxrisU&ab_channel=EntomologyAnimated, in some pictures this number is 7/8/9. It is an anatomy problem, still not conclusive?
