Water isn't set in the back of the sprinkler that would push the glass bulb off and spray real fire sprinkler has air in the back not water so if it bursts the air comes out and then a valve opens letting water out also activating a fire alarm with a flow switch

Sprinkler protection should be mandated for ALL new residential construction. It saves money, reduces damage from water, and reduces insurance premiums.

A very large hole in fire sprinkler application is Mobil /modular home application . The compact nature of these dwelling only make it more urgent. Secondarily this class are built of lighter components. The over complication of separate fire systems discourages installation . A simplified integrated plumbing/ fire sprinkler system could greatly increase adoption. Homes with well supplied water would require carefully planned additional water storage tank s to operate . Most Mobil / modular homes are located outside municipal /shared Water supplied areas and spotty fire department coverage. These facts raise the urgency to bring this level of protection to this type of housing. The nature of Factory manufacturing would greatly ease installation of systems. Note there are new fire pressurized misting systems that utilize much less water but higher initial but comparable costs overall. I don’t know if NFPA addresses /embraces this new technology . I hope economy of scale will eventually will help make these life safety items common. A subsection in NFPA SPECIFIC TO MANUFACTURED HOMES would be very useful in NATIONAL recommended code.

I firmly believe the benefits out weigh the costs in terms of human life and repair costs of post fire damage. Many insurance company’s give price discounts for having residential fire sprinklers for those reasons. Perhaps government should give grants to home builders/residents for said installations. Likely reducing community’s fire fighting costs in the long run. The price $5-10 k extra to design and install a residential fire sprinkler system falls distinctly outside affordable housing add ons . Mobile / factory built homes are more prone to fire deaths and are the least likely to get such an upsell option. Factory mass production installations could seriously drive down those costs. Simplified integrated plumbing / sprinkler systems could reach the most vulnerable of basic /affordable housing. Plumbers should be required to qualify for residential fire sprinkler systems as part of their licenses . More installer/maintainers would bring down the costs. A simple inexpensive system for well equipped housing would go a long way to protect rural property where fire services are usually spread much thinner.

It's rough watching all the vehicles that passed by without stopping to bang on the home's door. And then the fire dept response time.....maybe it's different out where I live, but that was the LONGEST response time I've ever seen for an engine to get there😬
@616390939 ай бұрын
All those cars that drove by and not one of them stopped even to just bang on the door. They would be first ones criticizing others if that was their home. Come on people. You could have least called 911, there was a car sitting in driveway so very good chance some one was in there which we found out there was. They made sure they slowed down to rubberneck though

Smoke detectors are something very important, their price can be found between 10 eur and up if you want it with alkaline batteries or 10 years if they go with lithium batteries. In Spain, public campaigns or insurance companies could be carried out on TV and Radio because this saves lives and we can also warn the fire brigade that this is irreversible, a 3 or 6 kg ABC fire extinguisher is a good ally, whether it is to put out a domestic fire attempt or to leave the house either during the night or the day to make our way safely in the evacuation since if the fire already takes flames important little we can do with the extinguisher other than put ourselves in danger, it is best to get ready Save and call the fire brigade. I have been using smoke detectors for many years, a small 3Kg ABC fire extinguisher in case I have an accident at home, to be able to put it out and it doesn't wander any further, and a fire blanket in my kitchen close at hand, since in domestic kitchens the best it is to cover the flames and suffocate them due to lack of oxygen to the fire, you have to think that many of these fires do not come only from household appliances in the kitchen the main protagonist in the kitchen is the oil that if you let it boil too much it burns and burns in a important way, so in situations there is no fire extinguisher, the ideal is a fire blanket. Although fires with oil may use a Co2 extinguisher, what it does is deprive the fire of oxygen and this is how it is extinguished, doing it in a kitchen with a nearby container has risks if you do not have mastery of using those extinguishers, the best thing is the blanket fireproof We can take a 3 or 6 kg fire extinguisher to a company every 5 years to ring it and give it pressure, for domestic users there is no obligation to check every year but for our safety do it every 5 years to guarantee that we have pressure and it works correctly if necessary, smoke and/or carbon monoxide detectors and a fire blanket should not be missing at home if we value the life of our family. In the following video we can see in a home fire the first thing that is generated is smoke and in the video we see how the detector warns but we see that if at that moment we have a 3kg ABC fire extinguisher the outbreak of fire that starts in We can suffocate the sofa, preventing a more dramatic situation. In the following live we see the capacity of a 3kg ABC fire extinguisher easy to handle kzbin.infotOBSS1JOOx4?feature=share

In my state (MD) it's more expensive to insure a sprinkle red home than a non-sprinklered home. Statistically, during the course of ownership of a home, that home may or may not have a fire in it. At some point, however, a home with an installed sprinkler system will eventually have an incident where the system is either damaged, activated, or malfunctions, flooding the home and causing a massive insurance claim. Yes; sprinkler systems save lives, which is the absolute top priority. They do, however, come with a price.

there so many videos recommending and showing how to turn off the water to the home while on vacation and they do not understand this shuts off the fire sprInkler system to the home for emergencies. I wish there a way to do both. Shutoff water to main home but leave the fire sprInkler water line active.
