Of course I didn’t read the comments or think about heating the rubber before pulling every muscle in my back trying to fit. And I live in Florida where the temperature is over 90 !

One thing you didn’t mention that makes the job mush easier with the newest generation of diaphragm. Let them sit in the sun for 15-20 min. The material softens and is much easier to pull.

I found the best way to heat the rubber up is to put the diaphragm into very hot water for 5 minutes and fit immediately. Not only does the diaphragm stretch easy it also expands. It goes on as easy as the guy here does it. Do Not do it cold the diaphragm will tear that's if you can pull it on.
