Wow! Great job on the Tiger. You got some good air, tbere, early in the video. It looks like the Tiger held up well, I didn't notice any hard bottoming out, how did the suspension do, and how did you have it set up? I did some off roading last weekend, will have a viseo soon, but not that gnarly.

Thanks. It's been holding up so far with me beating it up. No hard bottoming out and the suspension feels pretty good. I went with the manual recommended solo off road broken terrain settings for front and 2 on the rear preload. Looking forward to seeing your next ride. Still playing with it though and don't know if that's where I'll keep it for this type of riding.

How does the GT pro go off road? I bought that model and haven’t picked it up yet but was thinking of putting adventure tyres on it and taking it mildly off road
@timetomoto
@timetomoto 2 күн бұрын
It does great for mild off road riding. It actually surprised me on occasion. I ultimately upgraded to a Rally Pro because I wanted to do more aggressive off road riding but the GT Pro got me a lot of places I didn’t imagine. Tires will definitely help, it depends on your riding but I’d go with at least a 60/40 if you want to keep traction confidence on gravel and dirt roads.

Fantastic video! How did the bike take the drops? Did anything major break?
@timetomoto
@timetomoto 2 күн бұрын
Thanks. Nothing major. I had the older version of the Barkbusters (‘20-‘23) from my previous bike installed. That last drop bent them pretty good and scratched the bars up. I was planning on installing the 2024 Barkbusters anyway so now I have an excuse. Crashbars held up and no cracks or sheared bolts in the frame.

I installed the same setup a few months ago and the new Evotech mount is the perfect height. Everything works great though I'm seeing some battery lag after a few days in the garage. Put the RP on a tender when not riding, which helps. The big issue was all the BT configuration between phone, garmin Xt2, and Sena 50s. Finally have it all working (key is no more than 2 BT connections per device).
@timetomoto
@timetomoto 15 күн бұрын
I noticed some battery drain before this mod but thought maybe it’s because the OEM batteries are not great. I started keeping it on a tender to. I had weird BT things on my 2021 GT Pro likely because I had too many things I was trying to hook up. So far I haven’t bothered linking anything to the bike via BT. Thanks for watching.

@timetomoto 27 күн бұрын
I no longer have the GT Pro and it's been a couple years since I installed it so I'm not 100% sure. I believe there was a backing nut just behind the wind screen. You'll need a wrench to hold that while removing the top screws. I looked at my '24 Rally Pro and they slightly changed the design so the backing nut is housed inside of the plastic.

AKURAT is the brand but I don’t recommend for the ‘24 unless they’ve made updates. I was the first to put it on the 2024 model and some holes were really difficult to line up. Skid plate oil plug hole also doesn’t align. It’s a small shop in Costa Rica and at the time they didn't have e-commerce site. You had to contact them via email, facebook or WhatsApp. Looks like they do have a website now.

@timetomoto
@timetomoto Ай бұрын
@user-ew6ep1ki3g Thanks. The video was a bit too long and music was too dramatic but I had fun making it. I'm going by oem suggestions at the moment and haven't played around with other settings yet. I even maxed out the front spring preload to increase the rake angle before riding. On this ride I kept the suspension settings to off road and even left the rider mode as off road hoping I wouldn't lock up my brakes at some point. That's the most annoying part is having to stop and make adjustments and change the rider mode every time you transition from one surface to another.

Good. I like them particularly when standing climbing hills or leaning back in sand. I do have to be more conscious about my foot placement. I’m worried I’m riding the brakes sometimes but it hasn’t happened yet. The movement doesn’t bother me as much as others have said. The only time I feel uncomfortable is mounting the bike with the kickstand down and stepping on the peg. Feels a little off balance but I’m getting use to it.
