OK, so here’s what I wanna do. I want to use the alesis as extra I/O going into my Rme interface. I also want to use the hard drive Spaces as a raid type situation for backups instead of my main hard drive….. two questions, how good are the converters? And can these be set up as a raid type situation?

've had to repair all of them. I have an MX8000 and it looks identical to the 9000 except for the layout of the VU meters. Mine also has some blown preamps and a couple of sliders on the outputs that don't close when set to zero. But apart from these small defects, it has always worked, for over 30 years now. However, I use these devices just for fun, I wouldn't use them in a professional environment.

I have an original Keeley moded DS-1 and is my main Plexish guitar tone, i tried other distortion pedals but after a couple of days messing around i always return to my first love, i boost it with with a 2006 JHS Klon clone 🤘

Can you please do video on the network solution you are using as I have only seen old ftp solution offered that is clunky. Thanks for vids and just pulled my HD24 out of closet and will start using again.

Make sure to have a backup harddrive. I had a HD crashed one time and lost 32 songs, all non recoverable 😢 Nice that you can drag and drop files, that’s really nice. Nice recorder to consider, a look mom no computer backup. I see one selling for 350 bucks so definitely worth thinking about.

Will this still work if you don’t have an actual amp head, but a floor power amp into a speaker cabinet

I got one in 2014 or so and still love it. I use it with my Fender guitars and it's awesome for new wave and punky tones. I do hate that it's a backbreaker to move even across the room. I got it cheap for maybe $400 new on a blowout and I kinda wish I would have gotten a second. BTW do you think the Katana amps are an adequate, much lighter replacement?

Inferior product or not, it's really a shame they don't make affordable large format analog consoles like this anymore. Now people have to choose between small boards, digital boards, or really expensive pro studio consoles.

I had never though of doing this with my JC 40. I used tube for years as that's what the word on the block was. By passed these solid-state things. After one of my Fender Blues Jr Blew up running it in sterio, i wanted a simple solution, so i opted for a JC-40. Thje only regret i have, i should have done it years ago!

That sure is a neat piece of gear. My Fostex DMT-8 is only 8 tracks, but has an analog mixer built in. Getting my ADATs ready to go, though. I do have the Alesis CD recorder for mastering.

I'm on my second one. True, my first one, late 80s was noisy .

I have actually! I would do the clean boost thing like it was a Sd-1 or Ts-9 and it was pretty damn beefy in the low end. I still wish I had it a little bit but I guess I accidentally bought a clone haha. Cool video.

This was such a cool looking pedal. The sound just sucked. It's living proof that you actually can polish a turd! Try running it through an effects return before a certain Swedish guy does it.
