Staying here right now and the villa we’re in is very nice. But the whole subdivision has a ghost town feel to it and it’s very isolated from the rest of civilization. Thank goodness we have a rental car and can get out of here otherwise to find yourself here with no transportation would be very frustrating. Obviously something went badly wrong with the high hopes for this community- maybe the pandemic? The shops are derelict and covered in graffiti. Not great tourist appeal. Wouldn’t ever dream of coming back 🙁

I will tell you why as you aren't the first to suggest this. When I made this video I had only just started on KZbin and thought this get around the smart charger problem may help someone. I certainly would have shown that the other battery was also charged but, naively, what I didn't realise then was that there were so many disbelieving wankers like you around. Now crawl back into your hole.
@Zanth12313 күн бұрын
@@JPinFuerteventura Sorry You feel that way but it is more believable to see it shown it doesn't always work . and for you to tell me to crawl in a hole . that shows how petty you are. just because you show both working it's easy to think that I tried it it didn't work. so what. don't get inflammatory because someone thought it wasn't quit right the way you did it.

In a similar manner, I have a Snapple 58v battery for my hedge trimmer that is not charging. Can I use the same technique using cables plus-plus and minus to minus to get a significant enough charge to put back in its charger continuing to charge fully? I don't have another 58v battery of its type, but am wondering if I can use one of my DeWalt 20v dc power drill charger wired the same way even though one is a 58v and the other 20v? Perhaps the DeWalt can charge it's 20v up to 20v in the 58v battery?
@JPinFuerteventura24 күн бұрын
As it has a lower voltage it should do no harm to try it.
@jerrymontalbano322223 күн бұрын
Probably my thinking to try and get more charge into the bad battery. There shouldn't be an overheated condition being underrated in voltage. Perhaps a second opinion from someone who is as knowledgeable would help. Thanks, guys!

@JPinFuerteventura I totally get what your saying about this place. From my perspective I relocated to the Isle of Mull and lived there for 10 glorious years. I reckon that in despite of the ten years that I lived there, I've still not even scratched the surface there. Then you get people who get the bus tour from Oban to Iona and then they think that they've done Mull!!! I don't live there anymore, but I constantly revisit the place, living in a place like that, can sometimes be a pain in the arse to earn a decent living. A Bit like Fuerteventura too I guess? My partner and I have been coming here for the last five years, so now are looking into ways that are more cost effective than to staying at an all inclusive and infact coming back more times a year and for longer periods each time. Hopefully I can be rich enough to retire here! Need to come up with a plan B for that, seeing as the Firefighters pension that I signed up to isnt worth the paper its written on. Anyway, I've still got 5 days left here!, which I will make the most of. All the best JP and keep up the good work.

@@michaelrobertson9317 Yes, earning a living here isn't easy. Mostly jobs in the tourist industry, which don't pay well. Any jobs in the public sector (council, police, firefighters, taxis, buses etc) only ever go to locals/Spanish. Enjoy the rest of your stay.

Sitting this very moment in the centre of Caleta, it's hard to believe it's the same place. Yes I remember the original terminal and how small it was. This was the first Canary Island I visited. It had been advertised in a magazine and I just had to go. I remember well the joy of being able to swim in the warm sea along by the dunes in the month of Feb. What a novelty. Can someone explain the underlying cause as to why the discharged battery stopped taking a re-charge from the charger, but still would take a jump charge from another battery? It appears that there is nothing wrong with the dead battery cells or its contact points, so what caused it to stop taking a re-charge in the first place?
@JPinFuerteventura3 ай бұрын
It is the so-called "smart" charger. The charger has to detect a voltage before it will start to charge so if the battery has become very discharged no voltage will be detected. Therefore, it won't start to charge. Jumping it from another battery gives it enough to be detected. Like all things called "smart," such as smartphones, they are anything but smart.
