What color was tour glass tile?
@zacdavis72 жыл бұрын
I went with aqua blue mini pebble and the tanning ledge looks great, it’s blue but the rest of the pool a has teal green tint. It’s only been a few days since install but I hope it looks as blue as yours soon or I’m getting back with pool contractor because it really is on the green side and it’s depressing.
@ruthiescabana31552 жыл бұрын
Zac Don’t be discouraged!! I remember thinking that at first too. You have to give it a few days but the most important thing is to make sure all of the debris is cleared out and also be sure to check PH and chemical levels (chlorine and phosphates levels). Make sure you run the pump long enough also. Turn the water over once a day. All these things should help. It should turn into a nice blue! Hang in there
@jprado11232 жыл бұрын
Hi Zac, have you had any luck getting rid of the green tint? They're supposed to be installing Aqua Blue mini pebble in my pool and I'm concerned about having any green tint. I definitely would like a blue finish. Thanks for your help.

Hi! We haven’t had any issues with chipping or cracking. We installed a year ago, so far so good. I can’t recall the name of the tile but I believe I did post the name in the comments section. It is from NPT and it’s a blue blend. I’m sure you’ll love what you choose! Best of luck!

Is the glass tile by the water line more expensive
@ruthiescabana31552 жыл бұрын
Yes, glass tiles are a little pricier than the basic ceramic tiles. If you can afford the little extra cost it’s worth it, it gives the pool a nicer appeal. Best of luck!

Trying to decide on mini pebble color and also decided to go with the Aqua Blue. I love your tile selection and you said it was the sky blue blend. On NPT they the only sky blue blend offered in glass tile is the opal collection sky blue blend. Is this the same tile you have? Currently they do not show it in the 1”x2” tile.
@ruthiescabana31552 жыл бұрын
You’ll love Aqua Blue! I don’t believe ours was in the opal collection. I do recall that it was the sky blue blend. NPT could have different brochures/packets or maybe changed their products. Best of luck!

I watched the same video he put up, right now my pool is getting close for the pebble Tec finish. I went with blue surf, but my grandkids picked a whole bunch of Mosaics for the bottom of the pool and I don't think you can see the Mosaics that good in blue surf. I'm thinking of going to the pool company tomorrow and changing to aqua white. I am in Phoenix Arizona so I will be getting plenty of blue skies. I didn't think the color of the pool would be stressing me out as much as it is. I'll be happy when it's done so I can't keep changing my mind. The color you went with is also pretty nice.

I love Jimmy’s pool, and he seems like a nice guy. Yes, it can be stressful selecting the color and materials. One thing I finally accepted to not lose sleep over it is no matter what choices you make, it will still look awesome! It will be more than than what your backyard was before and everyone will have fun!

@ruthiescabana31552 жыл бұрын
You can’t go wrong with either color. In person, our water is more blue than aqua. The waterline tile is a glass tile blend called, Sky Blue Blend. I know NPT (national pool tile) carries it. Best of luck!

Is the pool finish rough?
@ruthiescabana31552 жыл бұрын
It is smooth with texture, if that makes sense. The first few days my kids did get minor scratches on fingers and bottoms of feet. I was concerned at first. So we brushed more and have a vacuum running at the bottom. It may have been debris at the bottom from all the construction work. You’ll see a lot of debris when you’re cleaning it the first few days. So maybe wait a few days, if you can contain the excitement. But not a single problem since! We’ve been using it for months now and not one of my kids has gotten any more scrapes! One of my kids didn’t want to take chances and was always wearing water shoes. She eventually forgot to put them on and has gotten in without them.

Hi, our tile has no white. It’s all blue hues. We only have two lights in the entire pool and one light in the spa. It’s enough to illuminate. But if you like to swim at night you may consider more lights. I hope this helps :-)
