Coming back to this months old video to let you know not only is Mama Ramp still one of my favorite decks to play, I’ve now worked a version of the bounce songs deck here to include Jafar/Second Star to the Right as well as Bruno with some scrying and it’s been a lot of fun as well. Hey there! I started recently and really immediately loved gramma Tala (because she reminded me of what I played when I played MTG) but I was thinking of swapping amethyst for steel, would you happen to have any advise by any chance? I love the synergy with Mama, I was thinking of using steel songs like zeus and grab your sword to control the board, as well as titans for added removal, and pawpsicle/flaversham/beast and Robin for drawing. I know I won't get the card advantage I would with Amethyst but I'm curious to try it out. Thank you in advance if you reply!

I’m sorry I’m the most annoying commenter ever, but just one more: I’ve been able to finally play some games both online and in paper with this deck and I absolutely love it. I ended up just hard swapping the Dr. Facilier for two copies of shift Elsa because I didn’t feel like thinking any more about it and I’ve had some really fun games with it. The last one I played I ended up at 17 ink against Jafar Wheel combo after Mama Odie absolutely popped off WITH a shift Tala on the field for a huge lore burst. Using the extra ink to just spam the hell out of Hades and in my case Elsa just shuts down certain decks and must be similar to what a Ruby/Amethyst player feels in the late game. I think between this and the Emerald/Amber puppies deck I’ve been playing I’m set at locals for a long time now, AND I’m gonna be looking to tweak this deck into set 4 and beyond. Thank you one more time for the build!

There’s some slight discrepancies between the card counts in the video and the list in Dreamborn. Is Which one is up to date?

Your deck list doesn’t match the video fyi, are you doing 3 or 4 Rabbits? I found 4x it calls me works well. Also not 100% sold on big Tala…the ramp might be better served with some maleficent uninvited and a dime or 2 but not sure yet. Thanks for the list!

funny enough I just ordered a bunch of pieces to brew something similar. I'm trying to do it without the merlin mim package first, but i've got a feeling I may need to add them in after some testing. Still, amethyst has no shortage of early interaction so I think I can make it work

I’m building this for locals! I think I might try to work my one copy of shift Elsa in as another repeatable bomb. Replaying her also seems very backbreaking.

How do you think this fares against steel song?

I had been thinking about something similar to this, but hadn’t yet put it together. I had started with an amber-sapphire deck heavy on songs and items and was going to cut the items and add Gramma in to bonus off Odie. I got clobbered in league with the amber element but def saw the potential. Will give this a try!

Ok now that I’ve watched it, I love both but especially the ramp. I’ve been building and playing an Amber amethyst broom songs flute deck, so it’s always nice to see another version of the concept. But that ramp deck is exactly the kind of off meta fun thing I like to bring to locals. And it’s not tremendously expensive! I’m gonna work on building it in paper because I wanted to find a home for Odie and shift Tala so badly.

I’m a mama odie believer. Why do you run ‘It calls me?’ Just a cheap ramp song?

I haven’t watched this yet but both of these color combos and titles are already getting me excited.

Love seeing the deck working in paper. Still can’t afford Ursula, so I’ve adapted the list I was using in Rise to now include Fang and I WIll Find My Way to protect an important character in the support chain as well as bring Pete online with a single card if I move him with the song.

To bad these packs are so expensive, unfortunately it literally doesn't pay anymore to get into ccg's

I have played this list some. I’d like to add emerald Floatsam and Jetsam are an interesting budget add from set 3. Only 2 health is rough but if they are both out they both have 5 attack and ward.

I really think Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo has been a sleeper card since its creation, I ran an amethyst emerald deck just so I can Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo the goat package

Thanks for this. I'm having more trouble than I would have expected wrapping my head around this game, so none of my brews have won a single game on Pixelborn. Thank goodness I got that working instead of spending money on any real cards. But taking this for a spin won me a best of three immediately. I should be able to enjoy running this deck going forward while finding my feet in the meta and mechanics. And it even has my favorite girl, Alice. Which is why I clicked on the thumbnail. Which is why I am now getting into Lorcana in the first place. So thanks.

Why no pawpsicle/hiram engine? I would imagine the deck needs the draw

I’ve been playing amethyst saph and found the queen with draw doesn’t end up having much value in the long run when you can throw in pawps and friends for draw and change queen for a bigger hitter or larger quester

Thank you for the gameplay, and doubly so for the paper version. I’m finalizing my order now for cards to build a version of this deck. Still going back and forth on some of the same cards you mentioned like Tala, Phil and Ratigan. That other version you linked with a Pawp engine is enticing but I still don’t know which version I like better lol.

Do you have any thoughts about some upgrades/investments in the deck? I’m starting to build your list but I’m wondering about cards like shift Aurora or shift Cogsworth as protection. Maybe even something like Sisu?

Question about using the strength 'at the end of the chain' - do you need two Alice's in play to do that?

I just traded for three Alice’s todays at League and this was exactly the deck I was looking to make! Love seeing the commons and uncommons in here getting some love.

Was at locals today discussing locations and said support will become a bigger payoff with set three to get characters to one shot locations, was thinking this color combo may be the way once Inklands is released

Another banger of a deck. Love your approach to building. I'm still learning the decks and interactions. I find the emphasis on mulligans and learning the nuances in this game is particularly interesting; considering there's not a sideboard or sidedeck kind of game.

I have been playing this deck since the game came out, floodborn helped it alot but hopefully inklands helps make it more competitive

Been trying to find a good lorcana content creator, I am now convinced that you and steadfast are the best

i am currently trying to get ariel to work too (snatched up a playset at the end of chapter one since i think she has big potential). However my take on it is actually using a cogsworth or aurora line to shift into 5 drops that protect ariel from spot removal or damage based removal and sing swords and a whole new world early - then using more traditional items like fishbone quill to ramp with your card advantage. the rest is more or less only cantrip effects. 4 develope your brain, 4 nothing to hide (check your opponents hand for removal) 4 simba 4 let the storm rage on. So the ideal is - shift an aurora - play ariel - then next turn sing a whole new world and combo of - your 7 cards should be cantrips or items most of the time so you just filter and quest. havent got around playing it yet but id like to hear your oppinion and if you tried something similar
