It's the winter of 2024 now, 6 years after the "last dance" and I'm watching the concert on DVD for the umpteenth time. It still brings a tear to my old eyes for what they were and how much they are missed. We were so lucky to have lived when they played their music for us

@:I was sick when they had the final concerts in Manchester and Stirling. I am glad in a way because I don't think I would have watched it without getting really upset 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿😁🥳

Not a long story short! I was in Scotland with my two best friends in 1992. With an old Mercedes and three mountain bikes on the roof rack. We changed locations three or four times and parked the car on campsites ("place your car there - so we can have an eye on it" - and it really was almost free - unbelievable) and then set off on our bikes. Each of us had good camping equipment - everything was good. Those were the days of the Sony Walkman (and now I'm finally getting to the point). After we had put up our tents in the evenings (face to face), and pls don't laugh now - it was 1992!!! We used a stainless steel bowl from our camping equipment as an amplifier and tried to position our headphones cleverly so that we could hear RUNRIG as loudly as possible! OMG - Those were the days my friends!

The culmination of four and a half decades of amazing Scottish talent on display. Particularly love the sound of his voice echoing off the Castle walls at the 3:11 mark. Beauty defined ! .. Astounding performance !

Runrig were marvelous i had the honour of seeing them many times including the headline show at loch lomond a full day music festival do fir people who dont know about them check out capercaillie and hothouse flowers music, the balloch show was outstanding and i thought it was a nice touch to have the radio dj tim ferrie introduce them as he had been playing runrigs music for yesrs to get their music to a bigger audience what a night that was,the only thing that beat that was the following year we went to see runrig at the manchester appollo and were dis usdi g were to get something to eat when the guys were on the tourbus at the side of the venue and we had a wee chat and got some autographs really nice guys everyone of them

Agreed the British media should be ashamed of them self for letting them down if they where a band that took drugs trashed hotels had affairs with each others wifes they would have made headlines but no they where a band that played great music and fantastic gents so sadly no headlines
