If I used a CMAP or a hummingbird map card when be able to navigate those rivers pretty well? I’ve never been but want too, but also don’t wanna throw a lower unit LOL

Honestly, not really. It just takes seat time each year and it changes with every storm or high water event.

When & what happened with the guy the benefit is for, I've seen that the platform near the mouth of Swift Creek on the Neuse is broken against the current & was wondering how that happened? Also want to support this guy anyway possible, if necessary! Boating accidents are happening more & more, we need to be more careful, but at the same time, need to help support those that are in the accidents as much as possible, because it can happen to anyone! Boats don't have breaks, as y'all know! I really enjoy all of your content, I don't tournament fish any more but may be getting back into it some soon! I'm 67 years old but have a good "younger" friend, who is interested and I'm trying to help him, all that I can, watching your videos, helps tremendously with parts of the organization of tournament fishing as well as other things! Thanks for all, & best wishes this season & beyond!

I fish coastal rivers in Mississippi. We don’t have the size Bass you guys have there. Did the N.C. Fisheries dept stock Florida Bass in the rivers there? Just curious. Thx
@primefishing Жыл бұрын
To my knowledge no they didn’t - it gets good when we have a stretch of a few years without a natural disaster that impacts the fishery. Usually when we have a large hurricane event we will have a mass fish kill and lose it for several years. They do go stock the rivers and try to improve it post storms and such over time but I’m not aware of actual Florida or F1 class being stocked.
@JAMESJONES-gn8wq Жыл бұрын
@@primefishing thanks so much for the reply & info. Our rivers are very similar in regard to the storms & years when we get lots of rain we see bigger fish afterwards but not to the extent you guys are catching there. What is the avg tide difference there? We get roughy 2’ tide difference every 12 hours
@primefishing Жыл бұрын
@@JAMESJONES-gn8wq it can move up to a foot or so more inland - a little more drastic the further east you go but it's not really a true tidal type body - it's much more wind driven pushing the water around or "stalling" it from flowing. Wind plays a major role on this fishery given depth and layout.
