If one more idiot comments "why aren't you doing fills" I'm done 💀 *Fills do not generate any points. When going for a tough FC/high score, players usually only press a few buttons on the fills because of a few reasons.* 1. They do not want to tire out their arms. 2. You only have to press 3 buttons for the green note to show up at the end of the fill. 3. Playing a cool fill can risk overdoing it and missing the green note, losing a chance to activate Overdrive 4. They want some time to make sure they can get back on beat without getting confused. As for pro players going for band achievements such as FBFCs, the drummer usually is the one that the bandmates activate with. So when the drummer is going to save overdrive, they usually press nothing, but when the drummer is gonna activate, they will usually spam the notes to make sure their bandmates see the lanes lighting up and get ready to activate with the drummer. I hope this clears everything up for anybody who has clearly never played the game at a high level, thinking that fills should be played to maximize points.

Fantastic Job!! This really reminded me of how the longer I played the game the more I grew to really really hate those solo sections , they are totally jarring and throw you off beat. I really hope they make a Rock Band 5 and have the option to turn off those freestyle sections.
@realausome4 күн бұрын
...Rock Band 3 *AND* 4 have the option to disable fills. In Rock Band 3, you can open your settings>modifiers>drum fills and turn it off. It will show a glowing green note instead of the freestyle section. In Rock Band 4, you can open your settings as the drummer and in the instrument options, there are a few options for fills. The ones I can remember are: -Classic Fills: The freestyle section like the OG. -Static Fills: Same as turning off drum fills in RB3 So yes, this is an option. You still dont get points for playing the notes in the fill sections, and you cant miss notes during them, even if you have fills off; but it still exists already. Also, Rock Band 5 will probably never come out. The closest we will get to Rock Band 5 is Fortnite Festival.

I'm not familiar with rockband, but I thought there were only 4 notes, and I see you hitting the cymbals. Not acussing you of cheating, but what do those do?
@realausome4 күн бұрын
Good question - this is pro drums. Pro Drums were introduced in Rock Band 3 and they are the only pro instrument besides Harmonies to carry over to Rock Band 4 (The one Kyle is playing in the video) Pro Drums is not cheating, and is just an added difficulty to the usual drums. To play Pro Drums, you need at least one cymbal, with a maximum of 3. You can get these cymbals by purchasing a cymbal expansion pack for your stock kit (Not recommended, as these expansion packs are rare and expensive now), or with the use of adapters (Midi PRO adapter or the Roll Limitless) you can set up an electronic drum kit to use on Pro Drums, which is what Kyle is using here.

It’s optional for star power.
@krisorgan6 ай бұрын
I always hated the ya have to activate star power, kills ya rhythm, you think they’d think of a better way to implement it. And yes I know they finally did in rock band 4, the fact it took the developers 4 games to get it right was ridiculous.
@realausome4 күн бұрын
The option is also in Rock Band 3. And fills aren't distracting at all. If you're a good player, you can stay on beat perfectly fine. Fills don't give you points (And they still dont even if you have them off) so it doesnt matter if you only press a few notes, or full blown smash the drum kit during them. You will still earn no points. You can still very easily stay on rhythm during fills. It is NOT a big deal and people shouldn't be commenting this

Absolutely amazing but for such extreme skill on the composed sections it blows my mind that you can't string together a coherent fill that fits the song instead of just repeating the same lackluster one every time

@realausome4 күн бұрын
He probably does. Memorizing rhythm game charts is very good because you will always know what's coming next. Usually people (including me) practice the song before going for a high score, but even still, reading the notes with your eyes isn't difficult with practice. You eventually get to a point where it's easier to play the game on Breakneck Speed (A modifier that doubles the speed of the notes coming down the track) because the notes are spaced out and easier to read (due to them moving faster)
