did germans really used the 3 part messkit? i thought they used 2 part one. maybe you have a post war yougoslovian one? what do you think

@@towarzysz_kajzerka2137 the Germans used the 3 part mess kits both during the war and post war. And some that are available on the market are sometimes sold without some of the other parts. And photos and videos of mess kits do sometimes show these mess kits without some of the other parts of it which can cause some confusion.

Well this one was based in Vincennes Indiana. But the battle was the elbe river one I think.

I started my ww2 reenactment career at 12 years old, being dressed in 12SS HITKERJUGEND by the group leader without the faintest knowledge of how fanatical they were... Thankfully my parents moved me to a British group. In the 18 years since then I've spent a lot of time researching... And I see nothing but regular German army being represented here. Cary on chaps

Thanks lol, and I first start by making the photo black and white then I put it through some filters and make it grainy and if I want to do a really beaten up photo I have some dust/scratches photos I overlay on the main photo If you're interested I could possibly help you a bit more via discord

Please apply polish via a boot brush as that was German military doctrine for combat boot maintenance back then

Indeed it is, and honestly my argument is GI groups kind of tend to be very political. And the groups I was thinking of joining were really douchy in general. (from my personal experiences at least) And the group I ended up joining is chill and non political (it's amusing considering we're dressed up as Germans lol)
