hey, thanks for making this helpful video! Quick question; since the applicants send their MCAT scores themselves, do the schools want to see all your MCAT scores if you've taken it multiple times? or do they just see the score you send them? Thanks!

Thanks for all these videos. I interviewed at LMU-DCOM recently and have a few questions. I did the standard Reddit search and most of the comments on the school bash 3rd and 4th year pretty hard. The theme was that the school doesn't help much with getting good rotations and the students felt like they had to do most of the work while still paying full tuition. All the comments that listed these issues did note that they thought the 2 didactic years were good/sufficient. Your channel is so great because it starts before you even chose DCOM! So, can you comment on these negative reviews and lay out your experience in relation to them? Have these comments been fixed and addressed in more recent years? Thanks, again!

When you put a seat deposit down, do you have to withdraw from the other schools

You don’t have to verbally tell them but if you don’t put a seat deposit down they will fill that spot with someone else! I emailed all the schools I was accepted to and sent a formal email that I would not be attending but it’s not necessary!

Hey! Im a OMS3 at DCOM (rotating in Louisville Ky). I don't remember Respiratory Cardo and Renal being as bad as the Heme, Neuro block so you are doing awesome! Especially If you have time to make these videos it sounds like you are doing great! Wild that they are going virtual after thanksgiving again. Are covid cases going up again?

Buy Frieda (it’s $30), it’s a site with all the programs you can apply to for residency, you can filter the programs by speciality, state, and more! Start making a list of programs you’d want to go to with score cut-off, LOR requirements, and other program details you find important. I would also keep your CV up to date because you’ll essentially be adding all those details into your app! Keep a journal during your third year rotations with cases that impacted you and what you’ve learned from them, these will make great stories to showcase who you are during your interviews!

I submitted my application within a week of it opening, I think 5 days specifically! The earlier you apply the better! I got accepted into 5 DO schools and had 6 total interviews! The last one was from an MD school that I got waitlisted on.

Why would you compare being a doctor (DO) with being a nurse (PA)?

Being a nurse is different than being a PA(Physician Assistant). PA training is the most similar to medical training so that why I wanted to share the differences, pros and cons of training as a PA vs a DO
