Beautiful place, heavenly. I think most people already know that the city is heavely, the people amazing, and the food sublime.....What we need to find out is how you got credit for courses in the US........

Aww… a day in my life after UChicago: I have been bullied to a point I attempted s… multiple times, and the University covered up everything. I am now filing for insolvency because the university forced me to “voluntarily” leave…

A beach cop (or surveillancer or ranger whatever they are called.) once wanted to take my drone when I was flying it on the beach. I just launched it full throttle when he was about to grab it. But my batteries were depleting and I had to land it on a roof of a bicycle storage building . The cop then went up the stairs to try to take it again, but the drone turned off because the battery was low. The cop took the drone and put it into his car. But he was very stupid because the car window was open and he set the drone camera in the exact right direction and I restarted the drone and just flew it out!

Hi Lucas! I remember watching your video profile when applying, and I've recently been accepted RD! I'm also from a Chicago suburb, just wondering if you ever felt like it was a bit too close to home or enclosed? I'm glad you had a great first quarter keep up the awesome videos!
@LucasKultBanout

Hey congrats that's awesome!! That's kind of a tough question to answer, but definitely something worth considering. I honestly would have preferred going to college in a new city, but UChicago ended up being the best option for me. I feel like I have a good amount of separation from home and enjoy exploring new parts of the city with friends from other places. If you like Chicago, then there's a good chance 4 years here will allow to get to know the city even more. So overall I feel really good about being here. One other thing, if you can, studying abroad is a nice way to get out of the Chicagoland bubble. Once I graduate, though, I do imagine I'll really want to get out of here and start life somewhere new. There's no one right answer, it really depends on what you want!

This was a fun and informative watch, thank you! As a prospective student (waitlisted RD; my hopes aren’t particularly high, but let me dream), UChicago sounds like a terrific and transformative place to go to college. The spirit of learning on campus is tangible, and very much speaks to me; and for a school that remains notorious (rather ignorantly and unfairly so, if you ask me) for “Where fun goes to die”, you guys seem like an awfully happy, friendly, vibrant group of people, very tightly-knit and personable. Thanks again. I loved watching this. Gave me a great, inside idea as to what the atmosphere is like on campus. Gladly subscribed - hope to watch more of you! ✌🏼

Wo your school life is so fun bro .i am from pakistan and in pakistan schools are hell here specially for girls we do not have the basic facilities like chairs etc specially in govt schools our education system is so weird .we have to wear uniforms but there is no skirt among our uniforms we have to wear traditional shalwar kameez and dupatta which is kind of annoying because not everybody including me like shalwar kameez its so annoying .on the other hand we are not allowed to talk to opposite gender at all we have many same gender schools in co schools you cant talk to your opposite gender if you do so you will be punished horribly as if you have commited a deadly sin .you cant wear jewellery and of course no mobile phones allowed .some schools force you to wear hijab and burka which is so annoying .boys are supported .girls are not given support really i hate this country.i am happy to see that you were not born in pkaistan otherwise your life would be a total hell Challenge :if you think that your school is bad come to pakistan and experience so called school life here i swear you wont last a second here at all specially if you are a girl

As a OPRF Huskie and a Chicago Maroon who also had to take the calc 150 series at Chicago, here is my advice: Find another section with an easier teacher. I did this and had a much a better experience in calc. Also, can you switch to the 140 calc series as an alternative? I agree that calc is not good requirement - I have not used calc or the thinking behind it in my career (and I work in a highly quantitative field). There are much better courses to take instead, but this is not something that you can change in time to impact your grad requirements. Good luck with your studies!
@LucasKultBanout

It's so cool to know you had a similar path! There's only a few fellow OPRF grads here at UChicago. I just had my final for Calc 152 yesterday so hopefully I did okay 🤞🏼 I am really excited to take more classes I want to in the coming quarters!

I’m a 6th grader in middle school currently. I watched this video since I really wanted to see how high school would be like and the experiences of it. And it does look pretty different from what we do in MS. Like we have advisory in the afternoon before our 4th and 8th periods. Our classes are split between days. Our first 4 classes are in one day, being classified as an A day. Then we have our next four classes the next day, which we call a B day. But I believe every public MS has that. We also watch CNN 10, but during our cultural study classes only.

Beautiful video. I have this deep belief that the life we have been given is a temporary and transient one; the quest is to use temporary means to achieve enduring ends. It's inspiring to see you thinking deeply and creating this outlet for creative expression. I hope you keep making videos - it's a pleasure to watch them!
