I am just so incredibly confused. I've come to realize I am an introverted intuition type, but I am not really sure if I am a thinking or feeling type. For example I most likely have a Prometheus complex where for the last - maybe - decade (at least) I've researched about 100 pages a month for my own development (not work related). What's difficult I transcribe, color code, summarize or extract quotes to develop ideas I don't get or information that's relevant for me. I'm studied industrial engineering and computer science. But in the other hand, maybe more as of late, I've tried to reach out to my family (not people in general). In fact i have been able to heal a really big family issue and pulled everybody a bit closer. I can be somewhat charismatic with people, I can be diplomatic and (I think) manage social situations. But they don't really fuel me, in fact they are somewhat exhausting and I avoid people in general, but I don't think I'm a stranger to this. I think my personal issues required me to try at both thinking and feeling. Can anyone help?

Hmmm. He might demonstrate Te, but he's not an Ni dom, IMO, because he see objects as objectives, which doesnt jive with introverted intuitives. The objective, personally, for these types would be what was once called, Nirvana, free of want/need. Introverted doms are far more concerned with "life as me", and intuitive doma appear to "cut to the chaae" and find the IDEA that completes the objective... making it essential to identify patterns for outcomes... and I mean generally, without even any particular outcome being relevant. It's really Introverted feeling and Se that help us clarify how/when to apply any particular route to that goal. I think this is why INTJs are really good at helping people troubleshoot... its like we are naturally empathic, but more as a "by product" of accumulation of various perspectives, and wanting to be as efficient as possible. Hence we aren't really good at objects themselves, only as "forms of" the real object. Probably why Socrates (according to Plato) definitely fitting an INTJ. The unintentional offended with rock solid "feelings", personally held virtues, that compelled him to "do too much", once he got on his pursuit/journey... everything else he examined (and likely understood better than he would ever confess) was incidental to that pursuit... Introverted intuitive in a nutshell

What I find funniest is a company so dim they think MBTI is demonstrating anything other than the company's inability to function at all. If they ask you to take that test you should immediately look for more meaningful work because MBTI is just a tool they use to justify firing you when they have no real excuse to. At-will employment works both ways. Dump the troglodytes before they yank the rug on you, and don't give them two weeks because they'll never give that notice to you.
@davidlaracuente3578

I believe the biggest problem about the test is people don't do self-evaluation nor do they tell the truth on a Test the test would be much more accurate when you throw people into the mix you will never get a correct data reading because people are an unpredictable source

I don't know for sure here but it seems like maybe the clips were selected in a way to support the theory of him being an introverted intuitive. The last scene especially. It just makes sense what he is saying. Sure he is talking about sexuality in the work place if men and women can work together without sexual harrassment. He isn't supporting the commonly held view now adays so that speaks against extroverted sensation being expressed, which may happen when he has his emotions high/acting more unconscious(if he was an introverted intuitive.) It does say he is an introvert and it seems like more of an extroverted archaic feeling being expressed unconsciously and that would be as a result of his ego consciousness siding with introverted thinking. You know it's hard to judge so easily. It feels like you got to know the person in a very intimate way and/or really observe them. How he talks about sexuality could also be the effect of his relation to his mother, the mother complex, other complexes or inferiorities that come from childhood but are still present. I doubt he has done analysis himself. He seems too prideful for that, besides he took anti anxiety or depression drugs, that is not very Jungian. He seems to me like he has been hurt in the past and defensiveness may be only increasing his shadow. His reactions to people calling him names and stuff in the past, like someone calling him a N-A.Z*I was very telling. It struck a real nerve. It wasn't "right" and it caused severe emotion. It also matters what type of auxillary functions he has and how developed his other functions are. It is unlikely such a successful and experienced person is a more or less pure type. I didn't think about this serious like you did for very long but i'd say he is introverted thinking with a good deal of intuitive. Just my opinion.

MBTI test is not very accurate, but the theory of cognitive functions described by MBTI is very relevant - the problem is that people do not want to put on the work to understand the functions, and would rather take a dumb test that does next to nothing other than confuse everyone.

No. This is incorrect. You can have immature as well as mature introverted intuitives. This aspect of your personality is really not going to change over the course of your life. i.e. young immature IN's will lack experience, mature experienced IN's will of course be experienced. The difference being that their intuition will be grounded and have a very high likelihood of predicting the real world given an extremely small amount of data relative to say an IS or ES who will need to be given every detail to understand such as what I am giving you right now. The Introverted Intuitive will still be an IN though and not something else. There are however multiple types of Introverted Intuitives. Some will be morally oriented and some will be aesthetically oriented with most somewhere in the middle. Then you can mature other aspects of your personality while still remaining an Introverted Intuitive, but Myers Briggs cannot track that very well. It's pretty blind to that. For that, you need either The Big Five test and/or the Enneagram both of which are far more accurate, but less useful in social conversations to describe a personality. Even a subtle change in other aspects can have large changes apparent in the person while still maintaining the same core personality. Even if you are only referencing MB though, IN is only part of the overall picture they can be INFP, INFJ, INTP, or INTJ (myself). All of which radically change who we are dealing with and with a universe of difference inside each one.

You think JP is an introvert? 😄 He is literally incapable of shutting his mouth or going a day without farming for attention. He is constantly interviewing people and doing public speaking tours. Rand is a great example of INTJ. How on earth you miss Jordan is Ti dominate many is beyond me. He is analytics for days. For anyone wanting to see the difference between Ti and Ni go watch the JP vs Sam Harris debate. See how Peterson keeps trying to drill deeper into his own complicated reasoning - this is what Ti looks like in an INTP. See how Sam confidently sweeps through what he knows succinctly, fluidly and clearly. Sam is an INFJ. That debate is real life education on contrasting cognitive functions. As for inferior functions, Peterson describes himself as being embarrassingly agreeable. This is because Fe is his stress point.

You are just jealous of MBTI 😂, if its useless than why does FBI and CIA use it? It seems like there are people that doesn't want other people to know about MBTI and cognitive functions. Also everybody in mbti community knows tests are BS, you look at the functions or the general description of a type to see what type someone belongs to.

I honestly see the MBTI as another version of the zodiac test/calendar. People try to find identity in anything and everything to find self purpose and truth be told most people say it fits or it’s true only because they actually want it to fit so you subconsciously become what you believe is true instead of it actually being true like some sort of false reality to help comfort you in your confusion. 🤔 some of the stats are accurate so you say “oh yea that’s totally me.” while consciously/ subconsciously ignoring the parts that are not just to fit your mold. It’s a fun way to pass the time but in truth it’s damaging cause you still try to find away to know who you really are even after the fact that you agree with the test; then you look for some other test or something new to mold into your ideal persona but you know deep down it’ll never stick and you’ll just keep looking for more. The reason I’m saying this is cause humans aren’t as cut and dry as these test make it out to be, we change and grow every day. As the saying goes “who you are today ain’t the same as who you were yesterday.” Because it’s true; you live, you learn, you grow, you change. Your personality isn’t the same as it was when you were a child and I hope it won’t be the same when you’re a full grown adult in your 60s cuz if you’re still acting like a teen in your 60s then umm i don’t know what to say to that. But yea so if you did this test 20 yrs down the line you’d probably get a different outcome. Today you might be an i don’t know (INTJ) I believe that’s one ? But 20 yrs you might end up being an (ISTP) I’m low key just making these letters up sense I don’t know all of them 😆 but i know they’re random letters put together most starting with I or E so I just went from there. This is not backed up by statistics or anything it’s mostly just logical thinking so if you think I’m wrong or whatever then so be it. I’m just saying 🤷

Make up is there to lure men? Women don’t do all the things they do for men. Also, human beings are responsible for their own behavior and actions. This is not even gender specific. Existence of another person in a shared environment is not an invitation nor a lure nor an excuse for violence or forced sexual encounters or engagement. That isn’t anyone else’s responsibility but his own to address. His hyper fixation on it doesn’t mean everyone else is having this issue, and to suggest this is all there is shows fundamentally flawed reasoning, and a lot of excuses for otherwise dehumanizing others in a predatory frame.

He is likely TiSe (LSI) or SeTi (SLE), and I lean TiSe. He spends a lot of his podcasts testing the internal consistency of the logic of the interviewee, and he performs well when challenged by other Ti ego types. He struggles to grasp abstractions ("chimps with typewriters typing on an infinite scale") which shows weak intuition (esp. weak Ne, in this case). He is fascinated by Ni egos-- anyone who can provide some sort of deep understanding of the world or how things "really are". Duncan Trussell is one of his best friends, and I think he is evidently a Beta NF (INFp or ENFj). While I agree that it's not necessarily clear that Se is the dominant principle of Joe's personality, he is pretty clearly focused on physical experience and the extremes therein.
