How did you trim the bowl?

I just went steady with my trimming tool at the bottom of the bowl and then blended in at the base 🙂

Where is your part two for your cookie jar? I don’t see any videos about the lids you made for your vessels.

The throwing is just the first stage, you have the trimming and glazing process not forgetting it being fired twice before it is finished, so like any creative process a lot is about the love of doing it rather than financial reward 🤣

I would cut down on filling it with water if I were you, especially with this shape. The less water the better to maintain structural integrity. I would also slow your wheel down a bit once centered.😊

Lovely work, but how do you fire it? Is there a hole in the wall?
@jstarceramics
@jstarceramics 5 ай бұрын
No hole, as long as it is bone dry before bisque fire it is fine. It is moisture that causes explosions not air 😃

Your technique is very clean and efficient. You use a lot of water but I guess the quicker you move and mop up the less issue that becomes. What's the clay body and cone? Thanks for sharing.

Hi, you are right I do use lots of water, I have tried to just use the slip but I struggle with that 😂 it's a stoneware clay that I am using valentine's special fleck fires to cone 6. Hope that helps.

Always enjoyable and interesting watching you doing your beauti work. Your finished work looks so amazing, too, I love the glaze and your decorations! Is it possible for you that you provide some Information in the descriptions, f.e. how much clay you use, and the hights and diameter? Maybe wich glaze? I would very appreciate it. Thank you!!! 🙏
