There is no perfect job. We all live in an imperfect world. Wake up. Go to trade school and learn plumbing carpentry or become an electrician. You will be hired on the spot. You are too esoteric.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. However, there would simply be no need to go back to school and learn a “specialized trade” if I already have a master’s that specializes in on area of psychology. With my degree it actually opens up a door for many opportunities (Talent acquisition, business analytics, project management, HR, people and culture, research etc). As for getting a trade in your list above that would be considered “esoteric”. For the comment “wake up” I would say that I am woke as I navigate through the job market.

Good luck on your Journey to finding your perfect job. Ive watched alot of YT videos lately about these same type of issues others are having so try not to get too discouraged. Unfortunately they say alot of these jobs arent real and dont really exist. On top of that the ones that are real its hard to get anyone to communicate. You call and you call and email and try to be proactive and it just seems like the same never-ending bs. Anyways im subscribing to keep up with your journey hopefully its good news for you soon. Blessings !

Staffing companies are so unprofessional. I’ve been ghosted my Robert Half three times.

I wholeheartedly agree with your statement about “staffing companies being unprofessional”. Today’s experience is definitely not the best when job searching. Especially since the conversations are led with “making sure they would like to help you find the right position” to being ghosted shortly after.

Ghosting sucks but it's important to remember that it's a number's game and recruiters are looking for the best candidate to bring forward to the hiring manager just like you are looking for the best job you can get. Ghosting happens because they don't care, it's really that simple. They have a lot of options to choose from so how you feel isn't relevant to them.

I do apologize for commenting a page to your comment please see below: Thank you for sharing your perspective-it’s a valid and respected point of view. However, ghosting by recruiters is a concerning practice that can have significant mental and emotional effects on candidates. Many recruiters initiate contact with promising messages such as, "I believe this opportunity would be a great fit," or "Let’s help you find the right opportunity," creating a sense of hope and collaboration. Yet, when communication abruptly ceases after an interview or meaningful exchange, it leaves candidates feeling undervalued. This not only disrespects their time and effort but also tarnishes the recruiter’s professional image. Respect and transparent communication should be foundational elements of any recruitment process, as they reflect both the recruiter’s integrity and the employer’s brand. Additionally, focusing on metrics like outreach numbers over meaningful engagement is counterproductive, especially when filling single-hire roles. Quality interactions should take precedence over quantity. Ghosting candidates erodes trust and creates a negative impression that can ripple through the company’s reputation. It’s far more effective to provide timely updates and closure, even when a candidate is not moving forward. Please review the article below as it addresses why "ghosting in recruitment not only harms candidates but also damages employer branding, making it harder to attract top talent in the long run". -Clark, J. (2023). "The Hidden Costs of Ghosting Job Candidates." Harvard Business Review.
