The video material is very good. However, because the camera angles are changed so minutely, the video is very difficult to watch. Most professional photographers only use the zoom at the beginning and end, and once they decide on a camera angle, they rarely move it. I've seen your other videos and I think it's better to use a tripod when shooting from the ground. I look forward to your future...

It looks like they are doing maintenance on the covo-tecs on lock 4. I wonder if the centre Cavo-tec at lock 7 is going to be serviced as well? (Maybe they have already done so) It has been out of service since May of 2023. Great drone footage.

This video is sad. I travelled so many times on that ferry as a kid. It was a great ship navigating in the most beautiful sceneries on the St-Laurence river in Quebec. I feel nostalgic looking at this video!

Hope you are well. I am sincerely sorry to disturb you. Your videos are fine but your videos are not getting views. Moreover, the number of subscribers to your KZbin channel is also very low. I checked out your KZbin channel. I found some problems. 1. SEO Score is very low 2. No Title - Description - Tag SEO friendly 3. No Share Social Media Platform and many problems on your KZbin Channel. If you do proper SEO of your videos and SEO of your channel, your videos will go viral very quickly. You can generate a good view. Hope you understand my point. I am always ready to solve your problem.

What vessel is this
@birdseye-view68
@birdseye-view68 4 ай бұрын
At the time it was abandoned it was called La Grande Hermine (The Great Ermine in English) and is a replica. The boat is a former ferry boat built in Lauzon, Qc in 1914. She was then named Le Progrès.

Wow the St Mary’s Cement II ATB is far, FAR larger than I expected her to be. Never get to see her up on Lake Superior so all I know about her is from Marine traffic photos since she’s never talked about. I was under the impression she was maybe 200-300ft but this looks closer to the 500s or 600s. That’s a significant vessel

There’s no water because they doing some work on the lock walls and other things. Winter is the only time that they can do maintenance. Can’t do in the summer since it’s full of water and the ships are using it.

This ship being 80 year's old. I wonder how do you know when its time to retire them.
@birdseye-view68
@birdseye-view68 5 ай бұрын
Probably a few different factors that would make it unprofitable. The cost to repair and maintain the ship would have to be low and economical in the long run to keep the ship going.

Closest I got was on my ex-girlfriend's "stepfather's" yacht on a trip up-river to Kingston. I had no idea what is further up the St Lawrence Seaway. I met the GF on the Island of Madeira in the Atlantic. Watching from Brisbane Qld [well above the Brisbane river which floods some of the city from time to time].
