"Roughing it" is by far the best of Mark Twain's books. I've always loved Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn ( too often dismissed as a children's story than the great work of literature that it is) but Roughing It is a captivating and intriguing look at the old west through the eyes of a brilliant and insightful man who could dig over, under, and around any rock and come out on top with everything carefully explained and taxonomically organized.

Just remember that the well water is not shelf-stable. I filled some new bottles with it and didn't refrigerate it. After a few days it smelled terrible and wasn't safe to drink.

Do you still have to walk the entire length of the Great Salt Lake to get to a B Gate?

Not anymore! The River Tunnel to the B Gates is 900 feet long, so about a 6 minute walk if you take your time.

This is exactly why 99.999% of people shouldn't own dogs at all. I don't know anyone who picks up their dog crap except for the extremely old people. I would love to vote to criminalize owning a dog unless you have valid reason like a support dog or something along those lines. Just saying. Disgusting animal and the people that usually own them are even more so disgusting. "No we're not" k, unless you're a rich person that has the ability to pick up the hair all the time, clean the microscopic stuff thats slanging from their butts and fronts all the time (literally all the time) these animals are disgusting.

You can NEVER achieve what you say you want to achieve even thru world wide partnering as you are suggesting here, when and while the ..f..e..d..e..r..a..l.. ..r..e..s..e..r..v..e.. is in control. People who have no idea of the workings of how the f..r.. pumps ..f..a..k..e.. money into the ..m..o..n..e..y SUPPLY.. which c..r..eat..es .. in ..flat. i ..on.. and h..u..r..t..s.. the economy, and make..s you ..pOUR.. Soon you will see even more ..w..a..r And the man who will be the one to stop it worldwide, just like he already did it before. Can’t you see it? We are pointed to an echo-naw-mick collapse and ..w..a..r..

Well, Utah wasn't exactly a "northern" state historically speaking. Part of the issue of the Civil War was about if Utah and Texas would be "slave or free" states, wasn't it? Utah was also a "compromise" state before they were forced to make a legal choice regarding the ownership of humans on it's territory. I could be wrong or missing some details, however. However, I would agree that the KKK was not nor would be welcome in Utah generally speaking.

So why was Salt Lake City, already inhabited, by so many non Mormon people at that time? Enough to elect a liberal mayor? Ok, they did, and then put up a Megalithic, Bavarian castle, complete with amazing old world imagery of Gargoyles, griffins, wolves, and other bizarre creatures with claws and fangs, all over it. That sounds like compromise, for a politically divided, and very religious city to do. Look at the construction as well. It is a brick boned structure, clad in solid stone block. You can't conceive, of a more difficult, and time consuming form of construction. So how how did they throw this up, without power? In 4 YEARS?
