How did you make the LED block behind the wings...? @theheights
@The_Heights
@The_Heights 7 күн бұрын
Kind of hard to explain, I found some plastic/PVC type material at Lowe’s. Cut out the shape and attached the LED light then mounted the wing directly to the block.

Looks great ... Question about the AC ... This is where I'm struggling is the window AC is normally those for windows. I can see yours like that too and the vents on the side of the AC will get covered on the wall? If you can give more details about the framing. That will be helpful. Also, great idea about the ceiling wood plank ... When you get a chance ... do you have a link of that product?
@The_Heights
@The_Heights 15 күн бұрын
Are you looking for a link on the AC unit? a.co/d/4s6qvAx The AC unit does have a vent on the backside to get rid of the hot air/water. The space between the vents in the front of the unit and the back of the unit fits perfectly inside my 2 x 4 wall the same way it would in between a window frame , if that makes sense and then it is completely foam sealed inside the 2 x 4 wall framing

Do you collapse the pool in the winter, or do you leave it out? I'm considering using your idea, but my wife is concerned that it is not a good idea in Swedish winter temperatures.
@The_Heights
@The_Heights 15 күн бұрын
We don’t really get a winter here in Florida, but I will drain the pool and just keep it covered… It gives me the opportunity to clean the liner and prep everything when refilling it for the next season. And because of the size of the pool it’s very inexpensive to fill.

I just did my 1976 Shasta 2400 RBR for a reintroduction back on the market to bring some vintage style back with a little personal touch. Great to see another person out there like me, and loves dogs. Bailey is the best project manager!! Best wishes for your continued success going forward from my little fur family to yours.

The bathroom in the middle that you removed, with walls running from floor to ceiling, more than likely gave the camper it's structural integrity to a large extent. Now that's gone and it's just some spindly sticks trying to hold their shape in gale force winds and bumpy roads.

In this particular build, we used angle iron in the center, and in the ceiling in place of wood framing

Looks good. Sand filters are not an upgrade to filter pumps though, at least performance wise. Much lower microns with pleated filters.
@The_Heights
@The_Heights 27 күн бұрын
The small paper filters would clog up quickly and were high maintenance for cleaning and changing them out. The sand filter is just a much more maintenance free set up.

@@The_Heights then it was too small of a cartridge (undersized). Properly sized, the carts are soooooo easy, clean, and most importantly effective.

@@govegan0424 yeah I wouldn’t be surprised. It was undersized. It definitely seemed that way. It was the stock filter that comes with these pools, which seemed really cheap.

I'm getting ready to do this with my '59 Traveleze. This might sound odd, but how do you attach the sub floor to the metal frame? Did you add those cross beams so you could attach it to those? I don't really understand how the trailer stays securely on the trailer frame. Thanks!!

The subfloor attaches using carriage bolts through the floor and through different parts of the actual frame, depending on the type of camper and brand

We don’t really do off grid camping so this is great for when we need to run things on road trips or an over night. If i upgraded to the 1000w version and a propane water heater it would be solid. It really comes down to if your gonna install solar panels on the camper and what you’ll be running

I do have neighbors I do most of the loud stuff during the day and with all of the doors shut it’s really not that bad. You do hear the noise but it’s not excessive.
