Two films made and both were unsuccessful at the box Office. 'Attack Force Z' was the first and was made in Taiwan. It was only when network TV screened the film that it became popular. 1982 and there would have been veterans of Z Force still alive but I cannot find any good comments from them about the film and many felt that the 'comic' lines that Mel Gibson spoke were not appropriate, from their point-of-view. there was a sense that the film should have been a 'memorial' rather than a depiction of the realities of SF combat.

I had a series 1 in the early 70's and it was a fantastic car. And yes the series 3 did not Impress me either, especially with the Pininferrina input and changes to the original design, that William Lyons once said "it was the best car he has ever made". Today as a modern car I drive a 1996 XJ6 which was designed by Geoff Lawson, who removed all the changes that Pininferrina has made to Lyons original design. I only wish they had put back the series 1 dashboard in my 1996 XJ6.
