There comes a point when you either take notes to learn or you just write all these notes because you like to color. You’re in the latter category.

I used my iPad mini as a Kindle for years before I purchased a USED Kindle. I didn’t use these settings, I just turned on DND (I created a reading mode which blocked everything except my home cameras & my children’s texts&calls) then I used the layout & brightness settings within Kindle app for the black or Sepia page color. I now have a Kindle which is way easier to carry around in my purse but I still keep my iPad in my work bag jic. I said I bought used guys so I’m always scared my kindle is just gonna flop on me. I have occasionally still used the iPad when reading or listening to a book that isn’t kindle accessible such as the Hoopla or Spotify app. I always said the same thing as I refused to buy a Kindle if I had the iPad that had multiple purposes. I’ve pulled my iPad out when visiting with friends and we wanted to search something or someone , play a game of tic tac toe w the kids, play a game of heads up during a friend’s get together, I’ve set it up to take selfies, edit pics, shopping purposes, watching a video and once I was at dinner w a friend and we decided to take a vacay and I pulled out the trusty iPad to sit there and book/plan the whole trip together. So much easier than doing it all on my iPad vs iPhone. So I totally get why she would use her iPad for a kindle. I get the e-ink but that isn’t important to everyone. It wasn’t to me until recently. It was a bummer I couldn’t sit out in the sun to read but generally that wasn’t an issue I could sit in my van, find a shaded area, or I would choose that time to listen to the audiobook or listen to music as I’m a lover of books and music. I say if the iPad works for YOU - keep doing you! 😊
