You will get less yield if you sucker them but bigger fruit. I quit doing that BS years ago. I just Florida Weave em' and let them go. If space isn't an issue, like it obviously is not on your farm, why sucker them when you could just put in another row? I'm also growing 300 tomato plants this year, but we switched to 100 percent cherry tomatoes. Found two determinate cherry tomatoes from Johnny's: Gold Nugget, and Candy Bell. They are both already starting to ripen. I'm in South Carolina though, so we planted them out April 1st. I should still be the first person with tomatoes of any kind in my area. I have grown plenty of egg plant. What variety you got growing? Also, what zone are you in? It looks to me that where you are it is just not hot enough yet. Egg plants love heat. They grow like weeds here in South Carolina. Okra and Egg Plant are two of my easy cash crops. I will tell you egg plants require a lot less water than tomatoes. If you are irrigating the egg plants like the tomatoes, that will be an issue. I hardly even have to water them here in South Carolina.

Orient express eggplant plant and these tomatoes we’re planted April 7 witch is quite early for where I am. I had to do frost protection on them in a previous video

@@Caleb.boulds Aye. Once the heat kicks in the egg plant will take off. It's really one of the easiest crops to grow. You can pretty much just ignore them and get high yields. I used to work on an egg plant farm that sold to Wal-Mart.

Your eggplants look wonderful. They are focusing on root development right now. As soon as the really hot weather sets in they will go to work. Trust me.

Yeah, it's just not hot enough for them where he is at yet. They seem overwatered too, but he said it just rained however many inches.

I remember taking a test in school that would determine what I would most likely be as an adult. It said farmer and I was so mad because I wanted to see doctor or astronaut or something. Now I’m mad cause I want to farm lol
