Yep- it finally showed up- seemed to be a delay everywhere at the time of filming. Aisin bushing has a lip to the edge where the Volvo bushing is cut clean from the channel to the edge. Swapping out the Aisin bushing when I put the new elbows on this week- video and interesting finding on that one. But to note on Volvo, ProParts and Aisin they all have the exact same clearance on the flange

Thanks for the video - I'm doing the same job and I'm a bit stuck at the same area as you're showing in the video. Most of it was pretty easy to install - just needed another set of hands to get the rear part over the lip. But as I said we're a bit stuck with the last side of the trunk area. I hope a heat gun and some wedges can help, as you've showed here.

BNE Spherical bushings

Thanks for figgering this out for us. Them BNE bushings have a flange or collar on one side, so next guy can't use 2" pipe union to remove them, won't fit thru ?

I was betting likely all of the wiring would be dead on these cars by the time these bushings need replacement! But the internals can be replaced without taking them out of the car

I could be wrong, but I think the 245 could look even better inside with a black headliner/interior (mine has a blue interior)

Thanks for the tips on how to install the headliner, will be taking another look when I have to replace mine.

The amazingness of the VP headliner is the only thing that kept me motivated to do this. Really wish I had tried this in early august on a super hot day- the heat is really the key. I finished up that last little section just after the video and it went well. BIG TIP, which I cannot now correct without a lot of effort- I mentioned the edge metal gap in the back that had some old tape there- really make sure you add some heavy duty tape over that gap as after my install i already have a pinhole from the edge and its just too sharp to be left alone. Only time will tell how much that pulls in to a bigger hole. Without any other info on this process online I thought I would take the very long and boring stab!

Hi. I bought a pair of spherical bushings from Ben. I'm about to mount them. Luckily I have a oe mounting tool, so it should be an easy job. I wonder if you have noticed an increase in road noise using BNE bushings? I'm kinda expecting them to transfer a bit more noise from the diff and road, but I hope you have a positive experience after mounting them. Thanks for the video, best regards Snorri.

I actually did not notice an increase in road noise but a bit more noise from the automatic transmission and from brakes

Really not that much difference. Brand new tires made the car much quieter- 195/75 14s

Morning. Just watched your video on the homemade bushing removal tool. I live in the Roland Park area and I’m getting ready to remove the bushings on my son’s 1990 240. I was wondering if you might still have the tool and would be willing to loan it or rent it For a bit of time. Thanks. Mark Gaither.
