Slate is my favorite roofing material, it just simply looks great. Thatch is the second on place. It's very homely and cottage core like.

You could expand the rum production and ship the excess to your main island, it's a good source of income. Prepare that once you have engineers you'll need a lot of coffee. Caoutchouc is required for the production of all wheeled vehicles. You can also use silos in the new world they're requiring corn there.

Good lord, I just about had a heart attack at 27:13 when you turned around and a drifter came up 😨 For this specific reason, when you're digging around ruin and going underground, it's always wise to block the entry hole so that monsters won't drop down and eat your face.

Some hints that might be of interest to you: Try to build a silo to every cattle farm that you can easily supply. It brings up the production to 2&1/2 of the standard output and one grainfarm should be able to supply 3-4 silos afaik. Soap is the best early game good for active export, you can sell it at the prison. I would recommend to build up a weapons production to protect your shores from bypassing pirates. Single small cannons should be sufficient to suppress the bypassing of the earliest enemy ships. Trade posts have their own gun. Also some interesting advantages of your unusual building approach which came up to my mind: The ornaments you place count positive towards island attractivity, not much but they do (although this mechanic is only relevant for tourists). Since you'll have to supply the engineers with power at some point, the production buildings you placed in the town will also receive power (which doubles their productivity and input demand) from the same plant that supplies your population. Do you also want to know some helpful hot keys you're going to appreciate in the long run?

As a suggestion for the later game, I would recommend to delay the exploration of Cape Trwallony to the point where you can build a bank house. This allows you to plan the entire city of Crown Falls from scratch to investors without having to bother with the railways later on. The AI also won't settle there until you unlock the sector; this applies to any DLC-Area I think (although I can only be sure about Trwallony and the Arctic). I also want to ask, whether you are aware of the Livestile needs, which can be good bonuses for income and workforce. Good pronunciation of the word Schnapps btw : ).

1404 is still be favourite, but 2070 is definitely a contender. I also felt the same with 1800, even though there are a few nice QoL additions that were missing previously.

the plates need 3 iron so i think you should make 3 smelters go for them
@alexwright681616 күн бұрын
if you look at the orange text, it shows the consumption rate of input and production rate of output. The plates use 30 per min and the smelters make 30 per min so it's 1 to 1.
@imllmi561316 күн бұрын
@@alexwright6816 yes I agree with that but the plats doesn't need only one iron, it need 3 of them, each one need 30 min so in total 90 min to have the necessary material to make only one plat
@Hmuda16 күн бұрын
@@imllmi5613 Thankfully the "per minute" readouts show the raw amounts. So when the machine says it needs 30 per minute, and it needs 3 per crafting cycle, then it will do 10 crafts per minute. Don't worry, it will get a lot less convenient later on. :D

Throwing out all that wooden stuff seems wasteful, can you not burn them for something useful?
@Hmuda16 күн бұрын
I don't really remember what exactly I threw out in this one. IIRC it was mostly chiseled blocks. As far as I remember, those are non-flammable.
@PhilBoswell16 күн бұрын
@@Hmuda I think what I was seeing was Support Beams, which the wiki says can be used as fuel. There was plenty of throwing out, though, so I probably missed a bunch!
