You're not far off. Having bought and played the game, I can tell you that 95% of the devs did an incredible job. The game is gorgeous, bug free, fun to play, with great main story and finale, tie ins to lore, exploring origines of blight, elves, titans. The cinematics and facial expressions were also well done. So all these devs gave their best, and it was poisoned by politics. I dont even care about the trans character, you can ignore and skip all her stuff. It's the complete removal of grit and conflict from the game. Everyone is "nice". Even pirates and assassins. Nobody is morally grey. Nobody fights Rook or eachother. No betrayal. I saw no slaves in Tevinter. Nobody was racist to elves. Thedas was like a kids movie. I still enjoyed the game despite this. There was plenty to love. But I feel for all the devs whose work won't be appreciated because of the decisions of the director and no doubt EA, to make Thedas a "safe space" for feelings ...

On that note we need a new Nier game lol The writer is so batshit insane, but the story somehow makes me into a sobbing baby multiple times each game. The boar boss in Nier Replicant and the final credits ‘boss’ in Automata had me crying sooooo much hard I couldn’t see the screen through my tears. I need more of that sweet emotional torture Oh and EMIL!! Poor dude is like the Jesus of Nier. He exists to take on the suffering so others don’t have to. Like every scene with him sacrificing himself gets me. And the final Superboss of Automata where he explains that HES been the one person protecting earth for like 40k years… if he is in Stellar Blade now he’s hands down the strongest guy in the setting lol

I thought mine glitched. I placed the weapons in the right place and nothing happened. I didn't realise that the secret compartment was something I had already opened by picking the lock beforehand. I already had the crest and didn't need to go on the hunt for the weapons.
