Preach it pastor. We all need to hear this and take it to heart especially in these days so hell bent on ignoring God and His word the Holy Bible. Time is short family - point to the only salvation in Jesus- His death burial and resurrection. Rejecting Christ is choosing eternal hell.

Dear First Baptist Oak Creek, Hello ! Wow ! Lots of problems in your teaching John 3:7 You are correct that In John 3:7 the the Greek word "σοι"(you) is singular, but the Greek word "ὑμᾶς" is plural. The Greek grammar is able to distinguish the difference between singular and plural. Early modern English (Elizabethan English) grammar also is able to distinguish the difference with the usage of "Thee" and "Ye" However, contemporary English grammar is not able to distinguish this difference other than with context. So though the use of "you" in both cases is correct according to Contemporary English Grammar our language is just not that specific. Of course, here in the south, we have it covered: "Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You all must be born again." (But, I wouldn't say that in front of my high school English teacher). KJV Makes a Similar Mistake in John 21:15 ff. English is not the only language where this is a problem. Even the KJV fails to properly make the appropriate distinctions when different words are used in the text (so the KJV is guilty of a similar, and actually more serious problem. Example: "Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee." (John 21:15) Jesus ask Peter if he loved ("ἀγαπᾷς"), and Peter responds saying, Yes Lord, you know I love ("φιλῶ") you. The KJV, and most other English translations, translates both words with the English word "love", but there is a distinct difference in the Greek Word of God. I believe God used different words in this verse for a purpose. If we neglect to make the difference God makes then we are misleading people about this text in John 21:15 ff. I grew up using the KJV and when I discovered this, I realize I have been confused about the meaning of this text because the KJV did a very poor job in translation, on these verses ! Psalms 4:4 Every Hebrew text of God's Word I looked in started the sentence with the Hebrew word "רִגְז֗וּ" (riḡ·zū,), which means: o be agitated, quiver (with any violent emotion, especially anger or fear), quake, be excited, perturbed, exciting thyself (to rage), enrage. It certainly can be translated as anger. The Septuagint translates "רִגְז֗וּ" as "ὀργίζεσθε" (Orgizesthe), which means, to make angry, I irritate, provoke, am angry. Don't Knock the Septuagint, the KJV translators had a lot of respect for the Septuagint calling it the Word of God, in the Preface of the 1611 KJV. 2 Chronicles 25:3. ?? (You must have given the wrong verse) Deu. 27:26 "Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. (KJV) "Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’ (NKJV) הַזֹּ֖את לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת. (God's Word) by doing this. (Literal English) Sorry, no significant difference here. It is in God's Word and in the NKJV. 1 Kings 14:24 Sorry, but the word "Sodomites" is NOT in the Hebrew text. You must have failed to look ! The Hebrew word. "קָדֵ֖שׁ" (qā·ḏêš) is used here in the text, which literally means, "a temple prostitute" The KJV usually translates this word as "sodomite" (except in Job 36:14 ), and the feminine version of this noun as "harlot" or "whore", in the KJV (which would be more correct than the way it translates the male noun). The word "Sodom" is used in the God's Word as the Hebrew word "סְדֹ֧ם" (Sedom), which refers to the city of Sodom. but the literal word "Sodomites" is NEVER used in God's Word; there is no such Hebrew word. So actually you have it backwards; God's Word says "קָדֵ֖שׁ", which means "temple prostitute" and can be translated "perverted person/people, but the the KJV used the Dynamic Equivalence method of translation and changed the meaning from what God's Word actually says. 1 Cor. 1:18 "but unto us which are saved " (KJV) "but to us who are being saved". (NKJV) "τοῖς δὲ σῳζομένοις" (Textus Receptus) "Those however being saved." (Literal English) The Greek verb "to save" is used in the PRESENT TENSE ! The KJV mistakenly changes the tense to the PAST TENSE ! I assume you understand what tenses are and how they are used with verbs, right ? I do not agree with the KJV changing what God has written. The Translators do NOT have the authority to change the Word of God by changing the tense making it contrary to God's Word. In this verse The Texts Receipts clearly uses the Present tense and the NKJV correctly translates the Texts Receptus. The KJV commits a translation error by failing to properly translate the text of the Texts Receptus. Now why don't you tell us what Greek word is used for "preaching" here. It is actually not the word "preach" (εὐαγγελίζω), but instead it is the Greek word "λόγος" (logos) and it is appropriate to translate this word as "word of the cross" or "message of the cross". I didn't listen to any more. You do not seem to have a competent grasp of how to deeply study, research and accurately teach the Word of God. You seem like a nice man, but it appears to me that you are getting some of your information from someone's book or notes, and you are not going directly to the Word of God to check your sources first hand, to see if they are leading you correctly. You need to be a better Berean and don't accept these misguided ideas until you check it against the Word of God. I have not heard many sermons with so many errors and misconceptions. The competent teacher really needs to conduct their due diligence in research before spreading these ideas to others so that he does not mislead their students. Be Well, DZ

You reject "Calvinism" because of Limited Atonement, and yet this is made so clear in scripture. Leviticus 16 demonstrates in the law of atonement that the operations of the high priest (sacrifice and intercession) are coextensive and inseparable (Leviticus 16:11-15, Cf. Romans 8:34). The lamb enters the holy of holies through sacrifice, and it is with his blood that the high priest makes intercession for all of those for whom the sacrifice was made, and that intercession is efficacious to the purpose for which it was designed. It is unthinkable that the high priest would make a sacrifice, and yet fail to intercede on behalf of those for whom the sacrifice was made. According to God’s law, the offering is taken from among the people for whom the atonement is to be made (Leviticus 16:5, 15); this is a picture of Christ who is both the sacrifice and the high priest. According to Leviticus 16:6-10, the priest was required first to offer up a sacrifice to sanctify himself (Cf. John 17:1-2), only then could he do so for the people; as the writer of Hebrews declares, “this He did once for all when He offered up Himself” (Hebrews 7:26-28), and as Jesus Himself declared, “For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth” (John 17:19). So who is the “they?” When the sacrifice was killed, the high priest would intercede for the people by burning incense inside the veil of the holy place (Cf. Psalm 141:2, Revelation 5:8, 8:3-4) and sprinkling the blood onto the east side of the mercy seat, and in front of the mercy seat for the people for whom the sacrifice was made. Without this intercession - without incense and the sprinkling of blood - there is no atonement, only death, for no one may approach the Lord unless the high priest has both sacrificed and made intercession for him (Leviticus 16:1-2). Jesus is the faithful high priest (Hebrews 2:17) who does not fail to intercede on behalf of all of those for whom the sacrifice was made (Hebrews 7:25, 9:24, Romans 8:34), both present and future believers (John 17:20) from both Jews and Gentiles (Cf. John 10:16). This intercession is for many things, but chief among them is “that to all whom You (the Father) have given Him (the Son), He may give eternal life” (John 17:2). Because Jesus explicitly states in John 17:9 that He does not intercede on behalf of the world (to give eternal life to them, John 17:2), but only for those given to Him by the Father out of the world (John 6:37, 44, 17:9, 20, 23), and because the operations of the faithful high priest (sacrifice and intercession) are coextensive and inseparable (Leviticus 16), we therefore know that the atonement was made only for a specific people, “the people,” and it is for “their sakes” alone the He intercedes that they may have eternal life. Because Christ’s intercession was limited in its extent, so too was the atonement. If the atonement were universal, and yet Jesus failed to intercede on behalf of anyone for whom it was made, then in no way could Jesus be regarded as a faithful high priest. Without incense and the sprinkling of blood, there is no atonement, only death, for no one may approach the Lord unless the High Priest has both sacrificed and made intercession for him (Hebrews 10:19-23, Cf. 1 Timothy 2:5). This is why the wicked (the reprobate, those devoid of the Spirit of God, Cf. 2 Peter 2:12ff) have no right to covenant with God (Psalm 50:16), for there has been no atonement made for them. Observe 1 Samuel 3:13-14 where we see that "the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever;” so here we have an explicit text that demonstrates a limited atonement. Unless Jesus can disobey the Father, unless Jesus is an unfaithful high priest, it is impossible that Jesus bore the sins of absolutely everyone without exception.

This isn't just a belief of Calvinists, this is Biblical Christianity. Remember, 1 John 5:1 - “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God…” This phrase, “has been born,” which is one word in the Greek (γεγέννηται) is in the perfect tense, that is, it was an action that has occurred in the past that has future ramifications. So, according to the text, if someone is currently in a faithful relationship with God, it is because he has been born of God in the past - being born again comes first, and faith is what follows as its fruit (cf. John 6:29, Hebrews 12:2, Philippians 1:6, Romans 5:1-2, 12:3, Galatians 5:22-23). We see this exact same construction in 1 John 2:29 - “everyone also who does righteousness has been born of Him” (cf. 1 John 3:7, 10). So in this instance we see that being born again comes first, and deeds done in righteousness are what follows as its fruit. And again this construction is seen in 1 John 4:7 - “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” In context here, he is speaking of a love for the brethren, cf. 1 John 3:10-11, 14, 16-24, 1 John 4:8, 11-13, 16, 20-21, which was a command of Jesus in John 13:34. So the order is like this: 1) Election, 2) Salvation, 3) Fruits - obedience, works, faith, love, baptism, etc. (cf. Ezekiel 36:24-32)

John 6:44-45 is true. Nobody can come to Jesus unless God draws them. But what does Jesus say later in John 12:32? Jesus will draw ALL men to Himself by the Cross. The invitation is given to all. Those who believe are saved.

The First rider, and lasting last! A Bride's groom Fact. Christian, my loved one, Wife and Bride. Proverbs 12:4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. Romans 9:25 As he says in Hosea: “I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,” Habakkuk 3:9 You uncovered your bow, you called for many arrows. You split the earth with rivers; Matthew 19:17 “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” John 5:17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” Colossians 3:4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. --John 15:26 The Work of the Holy Spirit “When the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father-the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father-he will testify about me. Isaiah 59:19 From the west, people will fear the name of the Lord, and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the Lord drives along. Jeremiah 20:9 But if I say, “I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,” his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot. John 6:27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval. John 12:50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say. Genesis 49:11 He will tether his donkey to a vine, his colt to the choicest branch; he will wash his garments in wine, his robes in the blood of grapes. Revelation 19:13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. ---Acts 2:17 “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Matthew 13:17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it. Matthew 11:27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Matthew 24:36 The Day and Hour Unknown “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Mark 8:38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels.” John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known. -- --Genesis 9:5 And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being. Psalm 49:7 No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them- Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Ezekiel 14:20 as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, even if Noah, Daniel and Job were in it, they could save neither son nor daughter. They would save only themselves by their righteousness. Isaiah 66:3 But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a person, and whoever offers a lamb is like one who breaks a dog’s neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig’s blood, and whoever burns memorial incense is like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and they delight in their abominations; Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering you did not desire- but my ears you have opened- burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. Mark 12:33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” -- - --Proverbs 3:18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her; those who hold her fast will be blessed. Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives. Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs 15:4 The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit. Isaiah 49:18 Lift up your eyes and look around; all your children gather and come to you. As surely as I live,” declares the Lord, “you will wear them all as ornaments; you will put them on, like a bride. Isaiah 61:10 I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 62:5 As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you. --- ---John 2:9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside John 3:29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Revelation 21:2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the FREE! gift of the water of life. Isaiah 25:8 he will swallow up d/eat/h forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. 1 Corinthians 15:54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “D/eat/h has been swallowed up in victory.” --- - ---2 Samuel 22:15 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them.
