When I was at LSU, the band as it began the ceremonies at the start of the game, there was a special opening number that was initiated with the drummers, and the bugle corps marched out to the goal line. Then the bugle corps blew their one long and loud chord that would set the crowd on fire with a loud roar. It is thrilling, and you will never forget this. Apparently they don't do that routine anymore, neither can I find it.

@@GuineaPiglet123 Yes, pregame, when the band is at the south side goal posts just before they come on the field, do their routines, then march to the north gate to form the opening for the team to come roaring out.

Bridget Narvais the school wants it this way. many years ago there were proposals from the drum line and music was written to change the cadence to a more modern and more complex music and the idea was thrown back in their faces. students eventually left the band and went to NSU and became drum Corp lead.
