I've been there 4 times now; and if you ask me, that cat doesn't look quite ready to go yet, unless these are old video clips...

My cat passed away on July 7th. She fell ill so suddenly on the 4th. The vets said there was nothing they could do except delay her death (which is true). But I couldn't put her to sleep, I didn't have the courage. She died in my arms in the garden.

We just put our baby boy Jax to sleep. He was our special needs kitty but we would not have changed anything about him. He also let us know when it was time 💔🌈

I have a cat named George (as in hug him and squeeze him and love him and call him George). This fine fellow thinks he has been sadly assigned the wrong duties. He thoroughly believes that he was born to be a HOUSE CAT. Making matters worse my wife has trained him by allowing him to come inside when she opens the door to feed him and his compadres. He’s fast too and if you aren’t paying attention when you open the door he’s in like a flash. My wife has taught this cat that he can come in and flop over on his back and she will give him a belly rub (which he finds to be the greatest thing ever). Then she picks him up and hugs him and squeezes him and calls him George and puts him out with the others to eat. Well George is pretty smart for a cat so now every time the door opens he’s like a little furry lightning bolt zooming into the house. The problem is that I stay here by myself in the daytime and I can’t bend over to grab the little rascal and he’s figured that out. He flops down on the floor and just lays there. I’ve tried pushing him with my foot but he easily evades me so it can take a while until he’s finally repatriated to his proper place. Our outside cats have insulated condos made from Styrofoam coolers that were used to ship meat. Well yesterday I was in a hurry because I had a doctor’s appointment and I wasn’t paying attention and when I opened the door he was in like a flash. I tried the usual methods to remove this little loafer. But his house cat wannabe was strong and he dodged and twisted like the little furry maniac that he is. Things were getting just a bit tight because I had to leave or be late. (I’m very anal retentive about being on time.) Well I was getting desperate when I saw a broom sitting in the corner. Only yesterday I had seen a video of three women doing curling, but instead of that big hockey puck thing someone had edited a cat in place of the hockey puck thing. Inspiration struck so I opened the door and got the broom and curled old George right out the door. He gave me a really dirty look and flounced off in a huff went over to his condo and parked his little furry butt while glaring at me and I’m sure he was muttering obscenities under his breath. He had taken his best shot and been defeated by an old geezer with a broom. I think I hurt his pride. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge long ago but his descendants still watch over us. Their names are Tiger Tiger and Lucky Wiggles they are usually underfoot looking for pets.

I don't understand why we have to put down our pet immediately when I can see he is not suffering, still eating, still playing, he has enough days to live. I can understand if he is suffering , can't eat, can't poop, can't pee, can't stand, can't walk just plain vegetative state.

After the 7th time I overdosed and my saint of a mother found me unconscious barely breathing and turning purple. The day that she picked me up from rehab we stopped by the animal shelter. I told the lady that I wanted the most fucked up cat there. That nobody wanted.4 years later he is THE ONLY reason why I’m still alive today. And I’m so scared about what will happen when he passes away

Thank you for sharing these precious moments. We lost 2 of our babies a few months apart and there is no word for the kind of quiet that settles on a home after that. Tucker and Seven 4ever ❤❤

Maybe I am missing something....as I have not watched the whole video. But this cat does not seem like it's on its last leg. I have put down several cats, and I know how hard it is. Just seems a bit premature to put it down, unless there is pain I don't know about. This is just an observation.....

I had to put my best mate to sleep, Little Inky , a Jack Russell dog , who started having fits , broke my heart, and now his brother Mousey has reached the grand old age of 16 and i,m dreading the day i have to do it all again. The pain at the end is the price of love .

My heart breaks for you. My beautiful Lexi left us last September and our bubba Michael in March. I am having such a very hard time getting over them. We have taken in two brothers, who we have named Tony and Happy. They are a handful and we love them so much. But seeing little ones pass on, even when they are not mine, hurts my heart.
