Nice! I'm working on something similar to this with a green screen, and my issue at the moment is lighting. Im 15, so im confined to my room to do this, so my lighting sucks and i got shadows everywhere. Because of this, i have to specifically mask out the green screen frame by frame. Im on frame 700 out of 1055 frames
@purpleparkstudios41245 күн бұрын
Do you have After Effects? They have a good rotoscoping tool that basically does the rotoscoping for you
@purpleparkstudios41245 күн бұрын
Shadows are very frustrating. Always try to light the green screen first, then the actor to avoid shadows. For your situation I would suggest after effects if that is a possibility. You may be able to do a free trial. They have a good rotoscoping tool as well as advanced key light spill suppressor which is amazing for keying
@IntrovertDevs5 күн бұрын
@purpleparkstudios4124 Unfortunately I don't have after effects. I would love to get it though and plan to in the future. And funny enough I kinda rely on windows because it's my only good and bright source of lighting. The window I have is positioned perfectly so it actually helps get rid of some shadow rather than increasing it. But I think I'll look into after effects.

Make the ground material slightly reflective by utilizing the roughness slider and possibly the metalic slider. Also be sure to enable screen space reflections and ambient occlusion in render settings. For more advanced applications and information I recommend checking out some of the green screen/blender videos I have on my channel. There is a ton of useful information on the subject via videos on the channel

@purpleparkstudios4124Ай бұрын
Sometimes if the keying is not done properly the footage can seem washed out. What camera did you use to film? If it was lower resolution then that could also be the issue. Lighting also plays a big role. Make sure to color grade everything so it blends.

Bro your tutorials are amazing! I have an issue in blender 4.2 where my CGI plane is appearing over the person in my EXR sequence live footage. So I masked the person in this live footage out using davinci resolve 19 studio, and imported the masked EXR sequence back into blender. Please kindly advise me on how to Composite it so the person in my live footage appears over my CGI ground plane. Thanks in advance.
@purpleparkstudios4124Ай бұрын
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the videos! Check the compositor in Blender and make sure the plane and live footage are both in Foreground and not Background. Depending on how your scene is set up in Blender some objects may have been placed in either Foreground or Background. Typically I avoid this situation by having all objects in the same “layer”

Can i get the background video without object ? Or any references to get this kind of videos ?
@purpleparkstudios41242 ай бұрын
The background is an HDRI that I used node wrangler add on to give it some subtle movement and animation. I have a tutorial about HDRIs somewhere on my channel but basically it’s fun to manipulate them in the shading editor. You get some cool results that way. Pretty sure I stretched the heck out of this HDRI to get the result in this video

I am not very knowledgable, so maybe my gut feeling is wrong, but something threw me off and I think it's the shallow depth of field. With the distance between camera and subject wouldn't it be wider? and only once the outermost circle gets close to the camera (around 0:07) would it become that blurred? All in all a really cool technique!

How Do you import a video without background? When I try it it just gets black the background, instead of transparent
@purpleparkstudios41242 ай бұрын
When you originally remove the background be sure to render or export the video with RGB + Alpha so that when you import the keyed footage into Blender using images as planes you have transparency
@purpleparkstudios41242 ай бұрын
So most likely the footage you are importing into Blender dosnt have an alpha channel. You can fix this in Blender. Go to the shader editor and view the nodes. You should see the images as planes node and the principal shader node. Disconnect the alpha channel. Then plug the color from the images as planes into the alpha channel on the principle shader. You may need to slap a color ramp in between to dial in the effect but you should notice that now you have a transparency. I may make a more in depth video on this topic soon
