Hey, when you pump nitrogen gas into a keg and continue pumping it for a whole day, the pressure inside the keg will increase and explode. What is the amount you produce until the nitrogen gas bottle becomes empty?

It’s absolutely amazing that the majority of baristas, at least in the tri-state area do not know how to make a flat white you should see the look I get when I tell them to pour the milk in slowly they look at me like I’m a neurotic person just enjoying giving them a hard time not always but…. Now if the price is going up again it’s some thing I can only do once in a while anyway… so on top of having to instruct a barista I don’t know on how to do it I have to be hated for it even if it’s just in a passive aggressive far away kind of way….

by no means is a flat white a "fancier" version of a latte. it is a distinctly different drink in its own right. i also agree that those mugs are not the proper mugs for a flat white.

Do you have the same experience? That 75% of at least all the barista‘s in my area have no idea how to do this? They just dump the milk in and it took me so long to figure out why one in maybe five taste like a delicious masterpiece and the rest of them taste like bitter over expensive crap…. Years ago I used to go every day now I just go once in a while and think do I have five dollars to throw away on an over priced bitter coffee? Seriously the flavor is like night and day if people just do the pencil thin stream I think half the people they hire don’t even drink coffee so that’s why they look at you like you have two heads if you say anything…Although sometimes the people are super nice and will keep trying to remake it in the past they could never make one and I didn’t realize the secret is in the stream and the microphone blending

I understand why she left it out because they were trying to keep it short but it’s funny that you say that because once I got a flat white and Briarcliff, New York and I didn’t taste it until I was already driving away and it just tasted like hot milk so I called out of curiosity I really thought I was losing my taste or some thing and I asked the girl “how many shots of coffee did you use?“ I thought she was gonna say two instead of three it was supposed to be, but she actually said one I couldn’t believe it… I wish Starbucks wasn’t such a monstrosity because if they just hired people that drink coffee these things would be so basic so easily remembered

That is definetly not a flat white. I hate how starbucks is making a crap out of coffee beverages.. Flat White is made of two espresso shots (Espresso Doppio) and steamed milk (that was done nicely) but Flat White has no "signature circle" at the top. Flat White is just Flat White. You can just pour the milk in, make some latté art but it has no signature circle. Starbucks is destroying coffee industry.
@rainafortini5797
@rainafortini5797 2 жыл бұрын
Bullshit. The “signature circle“ is a message from Starbucks to the customer that it was made properly and I can tell you this is someone who wasted money for years getting shit flat whites made the way you described it above and couldn’t figure out for the longest time why sometimes it would taste sweet and creamy and other times bitter and kind of gross you’re ridiculous

For me personally, there is no "BEST," as they are all different, and I prefer different ones at different times. I have admiration and appreciation for all the regions mentioned in this video and also the very many that were not. I enjoy Kona from Hawaii, Geisha from Panama, Supremo from Colombia, Blue Mountain from Jamaica. Just naming a small few popular ones off the top of my head as the list can go on with Ethiopian and Brazilian varieties, etc. etc.

@@rainafortini5797 I don't think this guy is a barista...I think he is just a loser with an opinion on coffee. Being a barista is a respectable job that not every person can handle. While I agree that a person who doesn't like their job, should not do it, that pretty much applies to any job. Being a barista is very tough to do this job! I respect these people tremendously. It's a job that I also did while I went to college and I know how hard it can be on a person's soul. And, it certainly doesn't help when loud-mouth people come by and render BS opinions that no one asked for! I can tell you one thing, I know baristas and their stories are all the same.... Loud mouth people, like this guy, at the very least, will walk out of a coffee shop with decaf coffee in hand. So, I hope they didn't stop just before getting ready to operate heavy machinery! However, in worse cases, loud mouth people will walk out with the scrapings from the bottom of a barista's shoes! I'm not saying this is right, but this is what happens in many coffee shops when people try and tell baristas how t do their jobs, or worse. I was in a Starbucks some time ago when some "champion of the people" decided to tell the entire store, employees and other customers, that Starbucks was in violation of human rights by forcing people to wear masks. After he left, I heard the manager, yes, the manager, ask the barista if he got decaf. She replied that yes, he did, but he also got a lot worse than that! The manager said "good job". I hate to imagine what he got! So, that should be a lesson for people like this Juan dude. I am sure that he's gotten decaf, at the very least, at some point in his life!

I worked as a barista at a shitty cafe without proper training - we just kinda had an automatic espresso machine and shown the basics on which buttons to press, and basics on milk steaming. We did not have flat white on our menu. Of course, people would ask for it on a regular basis anyways. My experience? No one knows wtf a flat white even is, everyone says it's something different. Ask 10 people who is ordering a flat white what they think it is, and you'll get 10 completely different answers. I've had people say it's a super dry cappuccino just foam scooped on top of the espresso - lol), to people saying it was a no foam latte. I eventually just fucking gave up and bullshat it into a very lightly foamed free-poured latte. If you order shit that's not on the menu, don't expect it to be made right. For the fuck of it, I ordered flat whites at other local coffee shops so I could better figure it out. Different places did it differently and not always consistently. In North America, you're likely not going to find it made "proper" unless you go to a local coffee shop with baristas who have more legitimate skill/training/knowledge and who make more than minimum wage. I've also had a customer give me a bunch of sass about not having the "proper size cup" (again, it isn't on the menu for a reason, you decided to order it anyways and we tried to accommodate you, so you have no right to be an anal prick about details at this point) and others demanding a flat white in the largest size available. Flat white was known where I worked as the one drink that staff all 1000000% bullshat. In my experience? Most (not all, but most) of the people who ordered flat whites either seemed like pretentious as fuck hipsters or were image-obsessed professionals, who don't even know what it is anyways. The only customers I assumed would know the difference would be if the occasional Australian came in, lol. /rant

You sort of just described my experience in ordering a flat weight even at Starbucks but the only reason I never gave up on getting a properly made one is because when it’s done right it’s fucking delicious and it’s pretty amazing that it all boils down to that slow pencil stream of milk slowly blending it all together if you get one at Starbucks, at least in my experience, most of the time even Starbucks baristas don’t know how to do it which is ironic because it’s really not hard at all… but I guess when they’re busy and they’re making a bunch of crazy purple drinks along with cappuccino you can see why they might be in a hurry and if they don’t drink coffee themselves they’re just trying to keep up with the ordering
