One day on my commute after work, I was accosted by no less than 5 people wanting something. When I got to one of my local bodegas and the clerk asked me how my day was going, I responded: "Is it me or do I attract all the stupid people??". The clerk replied: "No, it's Not you! You can stop wondering,(in case you might have been), why it’s so difficult to fill engineering positions. People who take unnecessary risks while crossing of any kind of tracks would be the #1 reason. The three young girls who were killed while taking a selfie of themselves standing between two sets of tracks while one train was going by them, never seeing from the opposite direction another train on the opposite track,until it was too late. Both crewmen needed months of phycological care before they could return to their duties,(maybe they never did poor fellows). Just so very unnecessary as I said.
