I was interested until I found out the enclosure version more than DOUBLES the cost of the Regular 5M...Honestly, I'd rather have my Infimech TX, which is already enclosed, has filament detection, auto levelling, and comes in at a $309.

In the middle of doing this myself and coming across all the same problems. Also, just found out that support told me to buy a V3 replacement, when my kickstarter printer is V2. God knows how they got that wrong, since remote connection to the printer and the details on my account should tell them everything that they need to know :( Cheers for the vid. Nice to know i'm not alone in this lol

Why are prusa printers sooo extremely slow? Looks like 2016 man, dammm
@ModBotArmyy21 күн бұрын
They really aren't. With the fast profile using input shaping they can boogie. Are they speed demons? No but they can carry their weight.
@TheOneAndOnlySatan20 күн бұрын
They can't even be considered fast printers. There's a lot between slow and speedboat fast that you Prusa fans don't seem to get. Prusa is just old tech-just look at it. Every video of people using it shows they're slow for general use. And if you check the forums or Reddit, you'll see the Prusa subs are full of layer adhesion problems, warping, layer shifts, and clogs. For $1100, Prusa didn't even care to add a camera, as if Prusa users are partly blind-otherwise, they would've already seen Prusa for what it really is: tech from 2016.

@@ModBotArmyy just be honest man, prusa wont exist for much more years. They just cant keep up with development and market.

I know it's been a year, but I'm building my 2.4 R2 Rev A LDO kit (matterhackers sale last year). Just wanted to point out the little rPi board has a plug on it for UART if you wanted to lose the USB cable between the Octopus and the rPi.

Not designed to be worked on? How would you compare print quality to the Prusa MK4 at best quality settings rather than speed?
@ModBotArmyyАй бұрын
I would say very comparable. The X1C can print beautiful parts at pretty fast speeds. If you wanted to get even higher quality you could just slow it down a bit to allow for better cooling and less ringing.

For my journeymaker I had the same issue and had to bevel the washers on those bearing stacks out to create a wider gap for the belt. I am looking to get slightly wider bearings or a small, thin washer to put inside the centre bearing and between the two flange bearings. That should add a bit of play. Biggest consideration is the spacing to the top cover.

@@ModBotArmyy Very welcome 🤗 No, please donˋt work offline. We really want to see the little cliffs and hustles too, to get an impression how you solve these issues… To be honest, could not really watch yesterday, because I was in a call most of the time and already wanted to ask if you can disassemble some parts to catch up where I was not really watching anymore… 😂😇😂 But then i saw your hustle with some sections and tried to stay quiet. 🙈😇 Have a good day and sometimes it is this way that it does not work out at all… I worked the last 4 weeks on a complete new robot which nobody has solved to create before and it was a real pain sometimes… I follow then a good advice from an old electronics teacher I had in school and stop working on that topic and come back to it the next day, which usually then works like a charm. I then always asked myself why I made this so complicated the previous day… 🤣 Thanks and have a good time =)

i also did realise that the only prints that did bond however extremely poor finish ie cracks etc were prints from sample filaments or pla that came withe the printer i however loaded my own filaments after they samples and thus could not get anymore prints to bond not to mention stick to the bed. i then realised that petg melted at a higher temp compared to pla i also realised that the geetech 30m willl not heat above 200 this now contradicts the terms of purchase which includes petg and abs etc the whole experience became a nightmare especially doing business with con merchants

hey whats this it seems so familiar it feels like a horror movie my twilight zone is this a joke i am trying to sue geetech for the same issue i purchased the a30m from geetech and did not unbox immediately because of co vid 19 i spent almost $400 and did not even get one decent print from it not even a benchy my first ever printer and no youtube videos as it was so unpopular i contacted geetech and they were extremely rude to me and refused to refund tt went from bad to worse as i kept blaming myself for lack of experience i finally realised it was not fault and also after observing the manual exactly it started ghost printing after a while or just moving around in space geetech advised me to sell it to someone else on ebay. i couldn't believe my ears and gave up entirely i wowed never ever to purchase anything under that name or group of con merchants ever again i am now saving for a bambu
